Looking for recommendations for good farriers in the Aiken area. Thank you.
Mellisa W. replied:
John Tuttle and Matt Cogan. John has done the top hunters, jumpers, and eq horses (and shod my UL event horses) for years up and down the East Coast and Matt shoes some top eventers and jumpers on both coasts. Antonio Sambrano is also amazing, but I think he's typically booked solid. If I couldn't get one of those 3, I'd be driving to Charolotte.
Barbara H. replied:
Jon C. Tuttle gets my vote also.
Suzie L. replied:
Matt Cogan is great. Does a wonderful job and is super patient...does all 13 of mine. Does work for a lot of the big event riders on the area. His # is 650-283-2500

Dr Keelin Redmond. Idk how her charges compare to others as I don't price shop medical services. But she's very good and she's a vet so she knows the anatomy well. You can get into a lot of problems from using unlicensed "animal chiropractors" who are not actually chiropractors or vets. I'm a vet too but don't do chiropractic as I haven't gone to the additional training needed to do it well.
Ashley A. replied:
Dr Redmond for chiropractic work. She us great. Dr Shelly Onderdonk for acupuncture and homeopathic work. Dr Onderdonk has helped small animals too. Both women have a great bedside manner with the animals.
Arielle O. replied:
Dr. Carlos Corteleezi is the only choice for me for chiro. He's been working on my horse for years. And at 19 years old, she feels the best she's ever felt

I recommend Dr. Holly Breaux, DVM - she is in GA but I expect would welcome a good reason to bring her own horse to Aiken, work on yours, and go school XC somewhere! I can't say enough about how much she has helped my boy Buckston!

Sasha W. replied:
Keelin Redmond is great, got my guy good to go with just 2 adjustments. I believe first visit is $120 after that's it's $105. Going to her place not sure on how much she charges for farm calls, but she is in Aiken.
I have a good friend that is moving to Sumter, SC. She is looking for a great place to board her horses. Can anyone recommend a barn?
Crystal S. replied:
If she is willing to drive a little bit then Voxton Farm in Camden is a great place to board. There are several people who live and/or work in Sumter and board at Voxton.
