Can anyone recommend a good builder/contractor for home remodeling? as title says, looking to add a full second story to existing home and possibly add new siding for...

No matter who you hire make sure to follow some simple rules...
1: Get Permits for ALL work. This makes sure the house will keep its value when you sell and also gives you a 3rd party to review the work.
2: Make sure to have a very thorough contract. It should list the full price; when payments are to be made. Like 20% end of day 1, 20% after X, and payments are to be contingent on passing inspections. It should list anything that you specifically want. Like 5/8 drywall, better shingles, 12ga wire, etc... That way there is no finger pointing if its in the contract. And very important many forget, put in deadlines when things are due and final completion date. They could walk away or do very little work and not having a final date makes it harder to go after them if you need to fire them and sue.
3: Before contacting anyone sit down and do a rough drawing on what you want, where you want it, and anything you really want. This gives you a chance to review what you wrote after you are done to see if you missed anything or maybe change your mind after putting it to paper.
I have done just about every part of construction, flipped a house in this area with permits (Fairfax County) for example. So if you have questions just ask. I also do not do this type of work for others so not trying to sell you anything. :)

Bruntison, LLC They're small, and family-owned. Extremely friendly and honest. They've done an amazing job on a lot of my neighbors houses in Alexandria. https://www.homeadvisor.com/rated.BruntisonLLC.25716116.html

Dave Payne Construction. He's done a number of jobs for us (currently doing one, actually). Can't speak highly enough about him. He'll be the first to tell you he's not the absolute cheapest, but can vouch for his honesty, attention to detail, and he's not as expensive as he presents himself.

We used Caffi for a kitchen remodel in Alexandria. There was a little bit of work getting everything selected and set up ahead of the actual work but once they started they were incredibly professional, always showed up when they said they would, finished on time and on budget. I’ve recommended them to a few friends.

Wordpress, WIX, Foursquare are all great. Godaddy's site builder is also a good option. I built all my sites. Take a look at TeawithMali.com , Soarcommunitynetwork.com and Maliphonpadith.com.
Anybody have a fantastic builder/renovator contact for us? looking for several estimates on our family room and bath that were gutted.
