I still use one with a strap, so I can't speak for any firsthand. I know of the FitBit Surge, TomTom Cardio and Garmin 225. I think the battery life might not be long enough if you want them for ultra events. We might have to wait a little longer for Garmin to update the Fenix and XT series to add optical HR.
