My son went to - and is now a counselor at - Camp Sangamon in Vermont (near Rutland). It's a very rustic, old fashioned type camp, where the emphasis is on freedom and fun. They have two, 2 - week session options - 7/16-7/29 and 7/30-8/13. Highly recommended. http://campsangamon.com/index.php (and my daughter went to, and is now a C.I.T., at Camp Sangamon's sister camp - Camp Betsey Cox. The camps are adjacent to each other and they do some shared activities and socials)

Real School of Music in Burlington has a fantastic summer camp. It's called Real Jams. My son did it a few times when he was younger, he took guitar lessons there for years. Great staff! They put the kids into groups and then they write music and play as a band at the end of the week.

I know a lot of people love the Hanna Andersson sun hats. They have the flaps at the bottom to cover the back of their necks, too! They make great quality stuff. We also have a few sun hats by Cat and Jack from Target that have worked really well! m.hannaandersson.com/pdp.aspx?from=SC&pcid=47&styleid=42835&simg=42835_HI5

Girl Scout camps are great. They have Wind in the Pines in Plymouth, Runnels in Pelham, NH and Wabasso in Bradford, NH. Not Sure what age range Maude Eaton in Andover does, but the first three have High School Units.
