Anyone know of a vet clinic locally (marysville, arlington, lk stevens, smky point), that sells flea medication but don't have to get an exam to purchase it? I just...

I have always purchased single doses from Family Pet Surgery Smokey Pt in the Safeway Plaza but off and on my dogs do go there. I think they just ask what their weight is.
Heather Y. replied:
But I should add that Animal Surgery Clinic does sell single doses of the flea pill Comfortis.

He's retired 1 month before my doggie passed away! He saw my dog before he retired in January 2012 and asking me to take care of my dog as long as I can. Dr. Shepard is very knowledgable. The new Vet was my doggie's last vet too! He is very honest! Also, the last day of my dog's passing, his previous Vet came to visit the clinic and ran into my dog in the intensive care too! That's a blessing for my dog who can see all his doctors in one shot at his last day!!
Ashley V. replied:
Frontier Village Vet in Lake Stevens has a few different types, I know one of them does require an exam and prescription, but they do offer a type that you can buy over the counter.

Mercy Vet on Mercer Island, the best! Seattle Humane just had an adoptathon with 143 kittens! But older cats are the ones that get left behind. I bet they have plenty left. Actually there is a woman at a house on the corner on 43 rd and Hudson, NW corner that has been feeding a beautiful grey stray cat, she can't bring it in because her dog hates cats and she is worried about the cat being out in the winter, she looks like a female. You may want to meet that cat, she is very sweet must have had a home at some point.. Just thinking? Good luck!
Marty W. replied:
I love kitty harbor down by Alki Beach because kittens are in an enclosed area, not cages. I also highly recommend using Rainier Beach Veterinary Hospital because they only charge you for what you have done never the office visit. You can try the humane society too, but they are strict with their policies and if you have other pets all must be updated on shots and you have to show proof. If not Kitty Harbor, use Petfinder website to look for cats or go to Seattle Animal Shelter. Good luck!
Sunny D. replied:
Rainier Beach Vet. Dr. Young is the best. And they aren't there to rip anyone off.

If you can get a bonded pair, that's a good idea. We got one of ours from Seattle Area Feline Rescue and another from a place in Puyallup (because we found him on PetFinder and fell in love), but I've talked with the folks at Purrfect Pals many times at PetSmart and I think they're all pretty great. We take our cats to Four Paws Veterinary Center. One of mine (adopted from a rescue in Texas) is an elderly cat with a *lot* of issues, so we're there kind of often. They have all been so kind and helpful, patient with all of my questions and concerns, and they're not overpriced (I've seen other vets in the Seattle area who were also lovely as people, but had overly fancy offices and the bills were clearly helping to pay for that luxury). Dr. Reed is amazing, and all the staff there have been wonderful.

We got a perfectly wonderful kitten from Kitty Harbor last October. Caveat: he ended up with a serious & preventable disease because they delayed his second round of a vaccine by a week, and he brought ringworm into the house. They do great work, but their socializing of the kittens leads to sort of a Petrie dish problem. I'd get your new friend to a vet stat. Meow Cat Rescue is also great if you can go to Kirkland and are up for a rigorous set of adoption papers.
I am searching for a vet that does not charge an arm and a leg for spaying 2 female dogs... I am on disability and low on funds... anyone know someone???
