Do any of you know of a vet clinic that will let you make payments? My old dog isn't doing well and I am financially strapped this month.

Does anyone know of a vet clinic that's very affordable and of good value? My chihuahua has luxating patella and needs surgery this summer. Vets in my area have been...

Sarah Lamont definitely I'm just looking for places that are more affordable for me. I've checked around and so far gotten about $1-2 k estimate which is good for me. I'm changing my vet because they have a tendency to charge high. An exam costs $88, x-Ray $350, and so forth.
Angela H. replied:
I agree, Dr. Mark at SnoKing Vet. Very affordable and well work with you. I've taken mine there for years.

My chi had a double patella surgery last year. Dr.Jeff Mayo, who specializes in orthopedics is amazing. Very willing to work with you. My girl was falling down Holly Cheung.
Erin A. replied:
Jeff Mayo also operated on my Pembroke. Unfortunately, I made the decision to go with the Lateral Suture technique on Trystan's right knee (having recently splurged for a TTA on his left knee 6 months before.) This is one of the worse mistakes I've made with my dogs. This is because, while both knees are functional in their own right, they do not have the same range of motion. This results in an awkward cadence - and has now aggravated a shoulder issue (suspected Pano) that plagued The boy as a young dog:( I was impressed with Jeff Mayo - but should have done Care Credit, and gotten another TTA.
Christie L. replied:
Doney Clinic is for the homeless and does not perform surgeries like that. Check South Seattle Vet hospital. Not all lower cost vets can perform orthopedic surgeries so don't be surprised when many of the suggestions in this thread are a dead end.

Sno King Vet in Lynnwood. Dr Mark is great, his prices are very reasonable and he is one of the few vets who accept payments.
Does anyone know how much roughly Bellingham vet and mapplewood vet hospital charges for over 5yrs old dog to get fixed?
I know whatcom vet(which I love) charges almost...
Valerie P. replied:
I would go with the vet you trust your pets' lives with. For me, it's Whatcom Vet no matter the price.
Rebecca P. replied:
AHS does and I think their voucher is good at NOAH. NOAH is $95.00 This is one I've used in the past and they are a regular vet, but much less expensive for spay/neuter, sometimes cheaper than NOAH. Cedardale Neuter & Vaccination Clinic 1727 Dale Wy., Mount Vernon, WA 98273 (360) 424-5676
