Can anyone suggest a good camp stove? One that's done well on windy days? I'm looking to cook for a lot of people.
Stephen P. replied:
I have been using a small propane grill as a stove for the last 2 years, and at each Alchemy we have provided over 100 hamburgers, breakfast, and even London Broils and veggies. the little one was about 30 bucks i think. Its something like this, but it has served me well. http://www.walmart.com/.../Kingsford-248-sq-in.../15540539

staging eddy rapid, less than 1/4 mile from the dam is great for beginners. Then there's Slice and dice which isn't much farther down, just above moonshoot. AW calls it second helping. http://www.americanwhitewater.org/content/River/detail/id/1780/
Judy R. replied:
What Christopher said. Staging Eddy and below Slice N Dice are both great. If you ask someone can show you where they are.
