Healthgrades.com if you put in your zipcode they will show all the doctors, specialties things like that. Message me if you need help navigating the site. I use it all the time for my clients (health insurance broker) when they are looking for new doctors. It will ever give patient reviews, show their insurance providers, and show if they are taking on clients

Another idea is to check to see if the JHH group has a nurse practitioner or PA as part of the group. We had an appointment in a day or two for Josh with the NP, and she had questions about the condition. She ended up getting the Dr. in the group involved while we were there. Quick appointment, and we got to consult with the Dr.. Best solution for us.

If your looking for a pediatric allergist Dr. James Wood is the absolute best he works at Johns Hopkins and he actually has done some ground breaking research on desensitizing kids with food allergies. He does a lot of research for allergies I saw him when I was in middle school and high school he's really nice to.

We see Dr. Schuberth. He is wonderful. His office is on Falls Road near Greenspring Station. I believe he and Dr. Woods may have worked together at one time. He seems to be very up on the latest research. My daughter once had a reaction at 9:00 pm two days before Christmas (on a pecan which she had previously tested negative for). We called the on call number and he himself called us back within minutes.

We see Dr. Wood and live him, but also Dr Keet is in the practice too at Hopkins. She was a fellow there and we saw her for over 2 years when my son was doing the immunotherapy for milk. . She may be quicker to get an appt with.

Dr Wood is worth the wait. My pediatrician ordered the blood panel to determine what foods my son was allergic to and we went to another allergist while we waited. Our wait was 1 year so 5 months is pretty good!

Dr. Jay Slater at Children's Hospital - outpatient in Rockville, MD. He is at the NIH and FDA and is excellent. His wait time is shorter than for Dr. Wood. Also, if you want to see another doctor at Chidlren's while you wait to see him, they can set you up with someone within a week or so. This way, you can get information quickly, get testing done, and then see Dr. Slater. Dr. Woods is a long wait....

We have an appt to see Dr Wood at Hopkins at the end of March and we have waited about 6 months for the appt. I was able to get in 2 months earlier though because I called almost every day to see if there were any cancellations and finally got one. We have been seeing a local Allergist but are not far from Johns Hopkins so I thought why not see some of the best since we are able to. Really looking forward to the appt... I am compiling a list of questions for him.

I also like Dr. Herb Greenleaf. He works wonders. But stick to his Vaporizer treatment regimen. Some of his other methods can EXASPERATE an asthmatic or alergisic respitory condition.
