Hey DC friends: Does anyone have an allergist they would recommend?

I swear by the Institute for Asthma & Allergies, in Chevy Chase, very near the metro station. http://www.allergyasthma.us/ I have been seeing them for 10+ years, never had a complaint. They can always fit me in, and take pretty much every insurance out there.

I've been going to Dr. Nsouli for a couple years. He's been great. Watergate Allery and Asthma

I have also been told this Dr. Fishman is the dude to see.

In my 20 s my asthma got really bad and I went to Henry Fishman on K St. for years and years. Haven't been now in about five years (my asthma and allergies improved dramatically with pregnancy), but I really liked him. http://www.fishmanallergyandasthma.com/

If you want to travel all the way out to the burbs, I go to Dr. Simpson at Northern VA Allergy in the INOVA building on Walker Lane. He was the one who finally diagnosed my contact urticaria after so many years.
Shannon D. replied:
I liked Dr. Richard Nicklas at MFA/GW, but that was several years ago, not sure if he's still there. I had to go look up his name because the one that kept popping into my head was Dr. Richard Nygard.
Heather W. replied:
Dr Valerie Carregal is fantastic. She used to work with Fishman (who tends to overprescribe meds IMO) but now has her own practice. If you can manage to get an appt, Dr Daniel Ein is supposed to be the best. All of them are located in foggy bottom.

Dr. Dubuske at GW Medical Associates. Super in depth work up, love him!
Zandria D. replied:
I know Shannon Stamey has seen an allergist in DC but I'm not sure which one.
Shannon S. replied:
I saw Dr Juan Garro a few years ago. I found him competent but not the warm fuzzy type.
