Can anyone recommend a good pediatric allergist (other than Hopkins because the wait is too long)?
Marie B. replied:
Dr Alvin Sanico (443) 416-6793 That's who we took Theo to. They just prick them with these tiny little needles all at the same time. Theo flipped of course bc he hates any doctors but he was fine after a second.
Ellen C. replied:
Nicholas sees Dr Manav Singla; Asthma, Allergy & Sinus Center; White Marsh Location: (new building off Philadelphia Rd near Car Max ...sorry, forgot the address). He is wonderful ...and handsome too!) 410 931-3404.
Kathryn N. replied:
Dr. Matz. On honeygo. Not sure if he specializes in kids but there are always kids in the office too.
Amanda K. replied:
Healthgrades.com if you put in your zipcode they will show all the doctors, specialties things like that. Message me if you need help navigating the site. I use it all the time for my clients (health insurance broker) when they are looking for new doctors. It will ever give patient reviews, show their insurance providers, and show if they are taking on clients

Need a pediatric allergist in this area. Jackson has seen one at JHH but that is a pain to get to. Need to get this dog allergy under control! Would love recommendations!
Kerry R. replied:
Dr Schuberth. He is JHH, but has a second office right off the beltway on Falls Rd. We love love love him. 410-321-9393
Jennifer P. replied:
Love Dr. Silber at St. Agnes
Patti S. replied:
I recommend Dr. Pearl at ENTAA Care. He treats Greg & Lindsey. He was great helping diagnose Greg's food allergies. Even though he specializes in pediatrics joe goes to him too. I love Dr. pearl.
Patti S. replied:
Dr. Pearl sees patients in Columbia and glen burnie. Very convenient
Jim A. replied:
Another idea is to check to see if the JHH group has a nurse practitioner or PA as part of the group. We had an appointment in a day or two for Josh with the NP, and she had questions about the condition. She ended up getting the Dr. in the group involved while we were there. Quick appointment, and we got to consult with the Dr.. Best solution for us.
Anyone have an allergist that they would recommend?
Laura B. replied:
Lawrence Schieken very good I liked him a lot. He was very helpdul after a lot of misdiagnosising an treatments from other doctors. He is located in Owings Mills #4109029666
Kate S. replied:
If your looking for a pediatric allergist Dr. James Wood is the absolute best he works at Johns Hopkins and he actually has done some ground breaking research on desensitizing kids with food allergies. He does a lot of research for allergies I saw him when I was in middle school and high school he's really nice to.
Lorrie R. replied:
Michael Mardiney, they have several offices & are very accomodating. He's been my allergist forever.
Bernard W. replied:
Dr. Goldman in whitewash. He has been Djs doc since he started with his allergies.
Caitlin M. replied:
Dr. Alvin Sanico right across the street from SJMC at GBMC. Great guy and very high tech office! I went to him for allergy shots until we moved.
Can anyone in the Baltimore area recommend an allergist who takes United Health Care? A friend is having very infrequent but serious reactions to something (possibly...
Joanna B. replied:
I am so far happy with www.mdallergy.net. Multiple locations but I go to white marsh. I have UHC.
Anyone live in Baltimore, MD? I need to get DS into an allergist very soon. Suggestions?
Karen E. replied:
Lisa Matteson, we are in NOVA as well and love Dr. Wood!
Jen P. replied:
Dr Wood is excellent., but hard to get into. Try Dr Bollinger (sp) at University of Maryland. I know lots of people that see her as well and really like her
Lisa M. replied:
In Northern VA, but Dr. Woods at Johns Hopkins is who I would see.....
Carolyn S. replied:
We see Dr. Schuberth. He is wonderful. His office is on Falls Road near Greenspring Station. I believe he and Dr. Woods may have worked together at one time. He seems to be very up on the latest research. My daughter once had a reaction at 9:00 pm two days before Christmas (on a pecan which she had previously tested negative for). We called the on call number and he himself called us back within minutes.
Randy R. replied:
We see Dr. Wood and live him, but also Dr Keet is in the practice too at Hopkins. She was a fellow there and we saw her for over 2 years when my son was doing the immunotherapy for milk. . She may be quicker to get an appt with.
Di P. replied:
We see Dr Keet at Hopkins and love her !
Kim H. replied:
Dr. Robert Wood is awesome!
Christina P. replied:
Thanks we see Dr Schuberth next Thursday.
Laurie M. replied:
We love Dr. Schuberth!
Ann B. replied:
Johns Hopkins has a great program
Jennifer T. replied:
Dr Wood is worth the wait. My pediatrician ordered the blood panel to determine what foods my son was allergic to and we went to another allergist while we waited. Our wait was 1 year so 5 months is pretty good!
Anne G. replied:
Dr. Jay Slater at Children's Hospital - outpatient in Rockville, MD. He is at the NIH and FDA and is excellent. His wait time is shorter than for Dr. Wood. Also, if you want to see another doctor at Chidlren's while you wait to see him, they can set you up with someone within a week or so. This way, you can get information quickly, get testing done, and then see Dr. Slater. Dr. Woods is a long wait....
Catherine S. replied:
We have an appt to see Dr Wood at Hopkins at the end of March and we have waited about 6 months for the appt. I was able to get in 2 months earlier though because I called almost every day to see if there were any cancellations and finally got one. We have been seeing a local Allergist but are not far from Johns Hopkins so I thought why not see some of the best since we are able to. Really looking forward to the appt... I am compiling a list of questions for him.
Hey guys! I am looking for a kick ass allergist!! Any ideas???
Scott W. replied:
Drs. Golden & Matz - locations in White Marsh & Bel Air that I know of. I've been once or twice. My 10 year old son is a repeat customer, and with shots, his allergies are more than tolerable!
Christine K. replied:
Dr. Bacon in Towson (120 Sister Pierre Drive)
Mandy L. replied:
Dr. Bacon in Towson, My childhood asthma and allergist and Dr. Wood at Hopkins, Cash's asthma and allergist. Both top allergists in MD!
Robert G. replied:
I've been going to Dr. Matz for 10 years and he is great. He has helped me with allergies and also asthma.
Michael N. replied:
I also like Dr. Herb Greenleaf. He works wonders. But stick to his Vaporizer treatment regimen. Some of his other methods can EXASPERATE an asthmatic or alergisic respitory condition.
Looking for an allergist who works with kids in the Catonsville/EC/Columbia area (willing to go out of this window for a really good doc) This is for Andrew to rule out...
Chris R. replied:
Dr. Lisa... used to be Dabbs, I think is Gordon now, does Naet in Columbia. I've used it, wasn't brave enough with C. We used Dr. Silber's office too.
Cristina H. replied:
Dr. Silber is fantastic. Connor has been his patient since he was 5 months old.
Yes he is nice. I went to Dr. Calabria before him but I think he left the practice. Chrissy Fendryk your mom should go too because I bet she has allergies....
Kari S. replied:
Dr. Pearl at ENTAACARE in Glen Burnie
Sarah Y. replied:
I go to Matthew Mardiney. He has a couple offices.
