Mark and Lillian were my grandparents. Donny got the details right. I stopped by about a year ago and all the cabins and main house on the upper campus are gone, it's just an open field. I was heartened to see it hadn't been built up.

For camp, the Family School/Brewster Day Camp offers a Young Campers Program for children that age and it includes daily swimming lessons. (It's a modified camp program for the younger age group) I've taught in this program and loved it and my now 3 year old attends. You can pick weeks to attend out of the 8 week summer program but check availability. You can call 508-896-6555 for the Family School. I highly recommend it! (Their pool is salt vs chlorine based and they have a great certified aquatic staff!!)

My daughter is 8 years old and wants to go to sleepover camp this summer. Any suggestions for good camps? I have high standards that were set by my grandparents :)

My niece's all go to Cape Cod Sea Camps (Monomoy and Wono) in Brewster. I went to Camp Jori in Naragansett the summer before I went to Alpine. We have Camp Judea about 20 minutes from where we live now. It's in Wimberley, Texas (we live in Dripping Springs, Texas which is 22 miles from Austin)
