Jamie asks: I am almost 35 weeks pregnant and my baby is breech. I go back to the midwife next week and we are going to talk external cephalic version. Anybody else have...
Kim H. replied:
Dr Finley will deliver certain types of breech if that is an option you want to look into.
April S. replied:
Try a chiropractor. I went to my regular one and also Schieber Chiropractic as he is certified to do the Webster technique. I also did a bunch of things on spinning babies and massaged with almond oil. My 4 th finally turned just a couple days after 38 weeks and I went into labor just 2 days later. Still plenty of time!
Meghan V. replied:
I had an external cephalic version done with my son at about 36 weeks. My doctor (Dr. Hoffman) is at Methodist. It didn't do anything-he was still breach until he flipped at about 37 weeks. My doctor explained that since it was my first baby, I had a low chance of success anyway since my abdomen hadn't been stretched previously. Chiropractic and yoga helped him flip I think. Plus he was little (born at 6 lb10 oz at 40 weeks 1 day) so I think he just didn't 'need' to flip until later in the game. It may work for you or your baby may still flip on their own. Mine flipped super late-yours can to!
Have you looked at spinningbabies.com? I have a few friends that have had luck with methods posted there.
Nicola D. replied:
35 weeks is early to tell, however The Webster Technique can help at any Stage or week of pregnancy . Dr. Kent Plummer is a ICPA Webster Certified doctor and practices Chiropractic. He is located on 78 th and Pacific. Dr. Plummer can also explain in detail benefits of Webster and what exactly it is to help. If you are referred by OANP he has a free consultation on Webster and First Adjustment/Technique setting. (402) 637-6715, drplummer@hotmail.com, or indeedchiro.com
Kara E. replied:
I have heard that Dr Finley is great at getting babies to turn. When my baby flipped transverse during labor, I got transferred (from the midwife's place) to BMC. Everyone said that if anyone could get baby to turn Dr Finley could and everyone seemed pretty sure he would be successful. Well, she was stubborn and, long story short, I ended up with an emergency c-section. It turned out her head was wedged behind my placenta. At any rate, it sounds like he has very good success at turning babies, but I agree with the previous posters about maybe giving baby some more time. I was already in active labor and my water had broken, so we were already at last resort time.
Angie W. replied:
I had a successful version with Dr. Weidner at Methodist Women's Hospital. Took about 5 minutes start to finish. I had tried everything else out there. I had the version at almost 38 weeks. I would definitely do it again with him if I ever needed to.

Had a great experience with the unmc midwives and hospital. Lydia was one of my favorites and is now with guiding hands with Jenda. Attend a doula speed dating event to find someone that fits. Taylor Gardner was perfect for us and I would highly recommend her.
Nicole W. replied:
I've had Jenda when she was at UNMC and Heather Ramsey at Midwives Place. Both are wonderful midwives. My doula is no longer available but I had Amber Piller as my back up. She seems absolutely wonderful! I attended a doula speed dating session that was very helpful in helping pick a doula that fit my needs. I think the Omaha Doulas Association could help direct you with finding one of these if you're interested. Good luck!

I use Dr Finley at Bellevue Medical, he is 100% for all natural births, very kind and gentle! I really love his office and all of the nur ses as well. My doula(I can give you her info too) says Finley is her favorite, next to the Midwives place. She said he is very patient and wants this to be a very special time for you! He's not just a doctor trying to rush you and get paid. I'd love to chat more about it and help you with your questions as I was new to this only months ago as well!! Message me if you want!
