Hi. Anyone get their eyes checked/contact lens fittings? What'd it cost? and also recommendations with English speaking optometrists or glasses stores to get...
Pamela S. replied:
There is a great shop on Goltzstrasse in Schöneberg called Goltz Optik. One of the two opticians there is a very nice and competent American guy. http://www.goltzoptick.de/
Is there an optometrist in the the area that anyone would recommend?
Laurie V. replied:
I also recommend Dr. Pentecost at Wink. He did a great job with my exam.
Jill L. replied:
Wink Eyewear has an optometrist space in the back of their shop. His name is Will Pentecost, I thought he was both nice and accurate.

Dr. Pentacost is great!

Dr Susilasate (aka Dr Dan), near MLK and Othello. He and his staff are such a breath of fresh air!

I wanted to use a local also but Will P (as far as I can figure out) does not accept VSP (my insurance) unless you visit him at his main office at the PolyClinic.... I think??? Don't quote me but I think that's is why I decided 2 years ago to use Dr. Elwood at Eyes on the Landing in Renton
Berlin based English speaking Optometrist anyone? I need to get contacts
Pamela S. replied:
I can really recommend Goltz Optik at Goltzstrasse 12 (U-Eisenacher Str). One of the optometrists there is American, but I don't know if they actually sell contact lenses. Great selection of frames, though.
