I don't have any contractor recommendations. But if you're going to have a panel set up, why choose CAT5 e over CAT6? Current service is already at the limits of CAT5 e. The cost difference is minimal and 5+ years it's going to limit traffic.

That's a big money job. Depending on how your house is constructed you can diy. I did after the shocking estimate I got from Experience Technology for a simple cable drop.

Short answer: no one i can recommend off-hand. However, low voltage wiring like this is easy to do and very low risk. On one hand, it's good to know your own limits, and some folks just don't need to be handling tools of any kind. But if you have any inclination that you'd like to figure it out it's probably the easiest way to get into DIY work on your house.
