Independence Pediatrics, they also have an office in Lees Summit (Lees Summit Pediatrics). Would not recommend Cockerell/McIntosh.

You probably have a decision made by now but Cockerell McIntosh is horrible. We only saw one Dr. there, do not remember her name but she was old and RUDE! BS pediatrics all the way. Front desk is nice, nurses are nice and Drs are fantatsic!

I like Kelly Fritz at BS Ped also, however she asked for a referral to doctor, and Kelly is a nurse practitioner. All of the doctors and NPs at Blue Springs Pediatrics are great. From what Ive read on similar posts to this one, you will find many more negative opinions of Cockerell and Macintosh than positive ones, myself included, for what it's worth, after having to deal with them after my youngest was born, I wouldn't take my children there ever.

Dr VanBiber & Dr Annette Beck are also good at Cockerell & McIntosh.

Blue Springs peds & LS peds are partners. So you have more appts available and Drs! Urgent care hours and availability was important to me too. I have heard ALOT of negative things about Cockerell & Mcintosh.

Sondra Bane we had the same experience. We finally went to b.s. peds and saw Dr. Dean who referred us to an ENT and with tubes and therapy my son is catching up quickly.

BS Peds are good, we use Dr Gershon in their Lee's Summit office. So far he's been fantastic.

My son uses preferred pediatrics in lees summit. They are amazing. Listen to all my corners and questions. They will do anything and everything to make sure your baby is taken care of!! Cockrel Macintosh is awful so I wouldn't go there. They couldn't find my sisters ear infection and said nothing was wrong and she was jut being a baby.. She ended up having a tumor in her ear and hearing loss because they didn't want to look in her ears!

Love Dr Kirby-Diaz at Cockerell & McIntosh....not every dr there is good though, and there are ones I refuse yo see.

Dr. Harris at Independence Peds on 40 hwy....at the Cliffs. 373-1111. They have another office in Lee's Summit - more opportunities for appointments with both.

My daughter was rushed by ambulance to hospital 15 years ago only to have Macintosh basically say she was fine. Took her to Children's Mercy 2 days after release for second opinion and thank god I did cuz she wouldn't be here today. We have seen Dr. Dean and she was great.

I won't go into details about why I will never go back to Cockrell & McIntosh, but I will say that I now go to Blue Springs Pediatrics and have NEVER had a bad experience. They have always gotten me in last minute if needed, I haven't had to sit and wait way past my appointment time to get called in, once in the exam room, they have gotten us in and out quickly, and have NEVER EVER been rude, short or made me feel like they did not genuinely care about my children. I've seen several different doctors and nurses there and would recommend all of them!

Stay away from Cockerell and Mac. BS Peds are great. Needing a second opinion is serious. You can always call Childrens Mercy and give them the specifics and they can recommend a couple of physicians. They Just won't be local.

Dr dean is there she is my daughters current doc. Dr Phillips has seen my 9 1/2 month old son since he was born and is awesome as well!

Good to know dr. Dean is back, but I wouldn't switch back to her from Dr. Leivian. I was not a fan of the ordeal. We went to our check up, was scheduling the next one and was told by the front desk that she wasn't going to be there anymore. Dr. Dean said nothing during the check up. As much as I understand her not being able to say anything about her new job, she could have at least warned us so we didn't look like idiots at the front desk.

All three of my babies have gone to Dr Phillips at blue springs peds. Love him. He tells it like it is and doesn't medicate unless totally necessary.

Unfortunately Dr Dean isn't at blue springs peds on the outer road anymore. She moved to some practice in lees summit. However, she was really great!

Not sure about that. She has been gone from bs for at least a year. We used to take out daughter to her but then one day they said she was no longer there and Dr Leivian was taking her patients.

I have dealt with C&M over a span of many years with myself and both of my daughters at one time or another. They missed diagnoses, they've given incorrect diagnoses and pushed unnecessary meds and treatments. Not to mention they were rude and seemed uncaring and cold at times. I'm not the only one who has had these complaints. I will NEVER go back there. I love BS pediatrics, which is partnered with LS pediatrics and Raintree Pediatrics. Love the doctor's and the staff and always get in timely if needed. My daughter and granddaughters all go there....I've been to several pediatricians offices and they are the best I've seen, hands down.

We go to Preferred Pediatrics off the plaza. They also have an office in LS. Once my doctor retires I will switch to the LS office. They have 7 day a week hours and extended hours in the evening. Never have to wait more the 5-10 min. Most of the time I go straight back to the room when I arrive.

We go to Blue Springs Pediatrics and really like them. They are connected with Lee's Summit Physicians group and Raintree pediatrics. They also do prenatal consultations if you just want to go talk to them and see if you like them.

I'd go with Blue Springs Pediatrics over St. Mary's.

I grew up going to Cockerell and McIntosh, and my 3 boys go there as well. In Independence and Blue Springs. They see my old Dr, Dr McIntosh, but they really love Dr Seck, he's been awesome with Cameron's allergies/asthma etc...

Blue spring pediatrics on the south outter road at woods chapel exit - Dr. Phillips is AMAZING! Love him and he doesn't just write prescription for everything. G loves him and he's great with the kids.

Dr. Vanbibber is awesome. My great aunt mary worked for him and his father. She passed away last year and his family has been a blessing. He is one of the kindest people I know, plus his father was my doc as a kid. He grew up in the business you can say.

Blue Springs Pediatrics. Our ped, Dr Fletcher (love her), is at the Lees Summit location, but we use the Blue Springs location for urgent care because it is so easy to get to. We have loved every single pediatrician and nurse practitioner we have seen at either location. Urgent care hours on both Sat and Sun at the Lees Summit location.

We went to Dr. Mozer at Cockerell and McIntosh. He is amazing!! I wasn't thrilled with some of the other doctors there, but he is really good. I know another family with a child that has special needs that uses him. They credit him for saving her life. He is that good!

I love dr. Michael Kasper through pediatric assocaites in Lee's SUmmit. I drive 45 minutes to see him and he gets heart kids and their moms
