Did you find anyone? If not, there is a Facebook group of moms that sell stuff to each other and answer questions... You could try posting a question with the type of insurance you have and that you will be at st. Mary's... It is called Kansas City's ultimate mom group. You can search for it or I can add you to it if you want.

Jennifer, do you mean Summit Pediatrics and not Lee's Summit Pediatrics? Dr. Peterson is at ours.

My kiddos go to Blue Springs Pediatrics. They are a part of Lee's Summit Pediatrics and are on the South Outer Road right off I-70 in Blue Springs.

Thanks everyone! We used to go to Summitt Pediatrics when Dr. Powell was there. We had to switch because Emma needed to see a dr. for ADD and medication and they were at the maximum for their patients. I will have to check it out again and see if they can take her on. Thanks for all the suggestions. I have heard GREAT things about Dr. Dean and Dr. Peterson.

We go to Independence Pediatrics/Lee's Summit Pediatrics. Amy (nurse practitioner) is AMAZING! I have a friend from my school days that has just started practicing in Overland Park, so I am moving my kids to him, but it's not because of anything at our current office - I just want to support him.

We go there as well Joanne Lee. Mikes insurance takes over soon and we will be in the same boat. But, I did talk to the guy that handles all the insurance and he said that we need to talk to BCBS and see what their out of network benefits are. A lot of times they will still cover the visits. They just send you a check and then you take it to the office.... that's what we will try first. I love Dr. Graham and Dr. Mac! Before we found them we used Independence/lees summit pediatrics and we had an absolutely horrible experience! The boys had 9 ear infections in 3 months and they refused a referral for tubes and kept giving them steriod shots.... I went there as a kid but when Dr. Ananth bought out the practice it turned to crap, in my opinion. I have a friend that works for Cockrell and Macintosh. I have heard good things about them.

Lee's Summit Pediatrics. They took over Dr. Powell's practice when he left. We LOVE Dr. Peterson. She used to work for Children's Mercy. She takes her time with us and answers whatever questions we have. She even called me herself on a Sunday afternoon after doing some research for us about something. I know they take BCBS because that's what we have.

We go to Summit Pediatrics- our doctor just moved over there. We went through a lot of doctors trying to get Bean sorted out when he was little and Dr. Dean is the absolute best. Wish we had found her sooner!

Joanne, only reason we switched to Summit was because Dr. Dean moved them. I was actually extremely impressed with staff, much more so than Blue Springs Pediatrics.

We go to Independence Pediatrics. They have an office off 40/291 and one in lee summit. Ive never had any issues with them. Weve been there since Shawn was born

blue springs pediatrics super AWESOME. Always can get u in. Don't have to wait very long at all before they take u back to b seen. Dr Phillips. He is so personable, friendly, caring, etc. Office is incredible

Dr. Powell was Jaydon's pediatrician and he recommended Dr. Peterson, who ended up taking over after he retired. She moved to Summit Pediatrics and we've been there a few times. I think the staff is great. I've never had any problems with them or any trouble getting Jaydon an appointment.
