Hey friends in Boston, does anyone know of affordable acupuncture in the JP/Rosi area?
Lane J. replied:
Oh man...there was a great clinic in Roxbury that I used to go to that closed. Can't beat $20/hour. I think BMC has something similar through their integrative medicine program, but I haven't looked in to that personally. Akasha Studio in JP and Roslindale Square has a lot of great healing practices going on, and the people who run it are great.
Randi L. replied:
Yes!!! Karen Kirchoff is positively the best acupuncturist I've ever worked with and age dies offer sliding scale rates as well as a once a month clinic of very affordable acupuncture on specific days. Another affordable resource is over in Watertown at NESA clinic. I highly recommend both.

There's a school of acupuncture on California St in Newton. I know dental schools offer discounted care by students (supervised, of course). Acupuncture may work similarly

Well, I know of one about 45 minutes outside of Boston in Westford, MA (right off of 495). I went to her for about a year; she is really good and I noticed dramatic changes. She was trained in China, and is also a Chinese herbalist. I know it's kind of far, but if you're interested let me know.

I go to Evergreen Acupuncture in Dedham, the womans name is LiYing. Its a little far, but she's amazing, and studied and I think teaches at Harvard. Her rates are also cheaper than most people and takes insurance. Plus she says she's going to take an hour, but usually ends up spending more like an hour and a half or sometimes 2 on you (more bang for your buck). I also like how her whole goal is to help you recover so you don't need to come back. (unlike most places that will put you on a fixed schedule and tell you when you need to keep coming back)
