I'm having a hard time deciding on a pediatrician for my 1 year old, any recommendations? I need a doctor who is okay with slowing vaccinations since I don't like...
Julie W. replied:
Mezgebe Haile(301-345-1400) is good. I didn't do much spacing of vacs when my son was a baby, but he has been attentive to my concerns, such as when I chose to put off one vac (which we still haven't done) when my son was a preteen.
Jennifer M. replied:
Angela Hubbard is good. I've been following the schedule for vaccinations though. I really like her though, she's very gentle.
Karenina S. replied:
Omg so sorry Kassandra Lulu!, God bless you and your family.. And yes, Dr. Woultrout is amazing, and after hearing your testimony she just jumped up 200 points in my book.
Kassandra L. replied:
Yes she is amazing...I had seen almost all of those doctor's in the office there and none of them I liked but Dr. Woultrout...my son had a lot of health issues so we saw her like every other week
Stephanie P. replied:
I would also recommend Dr. Jeannine Clark she is absolutely wonderful. My 3 boys have been with her since they were all in the NICO at Washington Hospital Center. She came to see them personally before they were released and helped us map out a treatment plan. My boys are now 14 and 15 yrs and she is still doing an amazing job treating them for their special needs. Her office is in Bowie 6915 Laurel Bowie Road #301 Bowie, MD 20715. 301-249-8838. Marisa W. replied:
Stephanie Peete- I love Dr. Clark! She is beyond amazing with my kids....even when I was a new mom, she helped me with the little things! She also was there for my kids during their birth, especially my youngest born at 22 weeks!
Stephanie P. replied:
I second that Marisa Walton! Dr.Clark is absolutely beyond amazing.:-) All 3 of my boys were born premature, my twins were born at 29 weeks weighing 2 lbs,1 oz and 1 lb 13 oz. My oldest was at 29 weeks also 2 lbs even. Dr.Clark has walked us through so much, she has been such a God send. All 3 boys have some special needs and she is helping us navigate these teenage years, I highly recommend her.
Sue M. replied:
Both our sons have been to Dr. Hubbard since birth and we all adore her!
Dannielle B. replied:
Dr Hubbard! She is awesome! Was very careful with my newborn's heart condition and all that was involved!! Love her and would still be with her if my insurance hadn't changed!
Shuang H. replied:
We are seeing Dr. Hubbard and loves her as well. Her partner is very nice too, though I don't remember her name. The only part I don't like is, there always long waiting time.
Karenina S. replied:
Children's pediatricians and associates. Dr Glasser, Dr Woultrout
Kassandra L. replied:
Dr. Woultrout is amazing at children's pediatricians...she is great to all kids..she became very close to me and my son over the passed 2 years but sadly my son passed but Dr. Woultrout came to my son's funeral...that shows u how well she interacts with her patients and familys
Maryanne E. replied:
Kassandra Lulu I'm so sorry o hear for your loss my dear <3 I haven't had a consult with Dr. Woultrout yet I think we'll visit for sure to see how she works
Jennifer M. replied:
It is very hard to find a doctor who will allow a spaced out vaccine schedule and many offices only carry combo shots now, too. Because spacing was a huge priority for me, I drive out to Edgewater, MD because my midwives knew the ped there would allow it. Dr. Baig and associates at South River pediatrics. Love them!
Amanda H. replied:
Dr. Angela Hubbard is a great pediatrician 301 220 1200 not sure on spacing between vaccines but she extremely attentive and understanding
Anybody have any recommendations for a foot/ankle doctor who might be familiar with running and/or sports injuries? Pretty much anywhere between Annapolis & Glen Burnie...
Renee D. replied:
Dr Cashman !
Annie S. replied:
I had ankle surgery with Dr. Spirt, who is with AAMC Sports Ortho. Excellent Dr. who specializes in ankles!
Donna M. replied:
Cashman did surgery on my foot. Fail. Dr Holt redid it a year later. Success. Cashman also left the building for the day while I was waiting for him in an examining room.
Richard S. replied:
Dr. Cahrles Markham Foot Care Center 1215 Annapolis Road, Suite 104 Odenton, MD 21113 Phone (410) 672-0464 Fax (410) 672-2369
Patricia S. replied:
Dr. Cashman.
Marian L. replied:
Dr edward Edward Holt, Ortho & Sports Medicine Center of Annapolis.
Lara M. replied:
I HIGHLY recommend Justin Cashman of Performance Orthopedics (410) 571-4338
James C. replied:
Most of these recommendations are for surgeons (and for that I agree on Cashman), but if you're willing to drive to silver spring Dr. Carson Aune (Capital Sports Medicine) is a wizard. He is much more than a good chiropractor. Helps lots of runners.
Steve C. replied:
I've been to Dr. Holt and was pleased. He didn't want to operate and worked me through stretching and targeted exercises.

Chris B. replied:
Cashman. Saw him for a hip problem a few years ago. Didn't overreact like the others. Very practical and smart. He nearly immediately suggested acupuncture. Which I did through Edgewater Acupuncture to great success.
Dana O. replied:
I see Dr Lynch, but maybe is should check out Dr Cashman. smile emoticon
Gus C. replied:
I had a great experience with Dr. JACOB WISBECK who works out of Union Memorial in Baltimore. He has an office in Columbia as well. A local doctor who shall remain nameless but is supposed to be "the guy" in Annapolis wanted to basically surgically re construct my foot. Dr. Wisbeck examined me and said, "I'm a surgeon and I like to operate but looking at you right now i wouldn't operate yet." We came up with a plan that included rest, wearing orthotics ALL THE TIME and managing my running. I'm so glad I got a second opinion. No surgery and my foot/ankle have not hindered my running plans.
Beth R. replied:
Lyle Modlin is a podiatrist and runner, very good, my son and husband have both been to his office.
Jennifer C. replied:
The foot and ankle center at Mercy Hospital in Baltimore is the best!

I see Dr. Stephanie Martin in the Waugh Chapel Family Medicine. She pretty great and will even email you if you have minor things to ask her opinion on rather than have you come into the office. I've heard good things about the men in the practice too.

Has anyone heard of a house in Bowie where a doctor built a sailboat in the garage? The roof of the garage had to be removed to get the boat out.
Debbi E. replied:
Dan and Priscilla VanSickle. Remember their crazy poodle Romeo Pam Prevo Leonard? You were probably the only Prevo who heard the hammering.
Lawrence V. replied:
Betsy Tracy Keller Leonard likely enjoyed the plane talk. Anytime we stopped by he was working on it and then talked to my dad for an hour about the plane lol. He also installed a spiral staircase in that home he was a unique fellow
