Doctors in Greenbelt, MD

I highly recommend Dr. Angela Marshall of Womens Comprehensive Care. Her PA, Cristy Neal is most excellent, also. They are very much on top of things. I trust them totally. There are two office locations at Glendale and Silver Spring.

I use Vanessa Allen in Glenn Dale, Md and really like her and she has a relatively new physicians assistant who is awesome!

Those of you who use Dr. Allen in Glenn Dale, is she a general family practitioner? Does she do well-women visits? Does she see patients under 18 years old? Thanks!

I had seen Vanessa Allen in my research online but some reviews were negative saying it's hard to see the doctor, and that you generally just see the PA - but Thea, knowing you like the PA is helpful! Thanks also for the Silver Spring suggestions - since I work in Annapolis I try not to have to travel westward (traffic scares me, ha!)

Dr. Zahra Ahmed at Dus Family Medical. It's just behind Greenway Center. She's fantastic. I feel well taken care of and she's provided some really common sense health guidance over the years. I should mention they see a lot of muslim patients so don't be surprised by a high density of head scarves in the waiting room. It's certainly never interfered with my care

I used to go to Angela Marshall but I always had to wait forever for an appointment. I like Dr. Allen's practice much better.

Katherine Siriani PA at Associates in Family Practice in Silver Spring. She's great and has good bedside manner.

Ruth Kevess-Cohen, in particular, has an outstanding reputation throughout the Washington area. The other docs are very good. I've heard good things from people whose opinion I respect about the NP and PA but I have no knowledge about them. Of course, it always depends on what you're looking for in, and from, a physician and the kind of relationship that you want from them as an individual and a physician.

I used to go to a PA at Cameron Medical Group. I got tired of the trek to Silver Spring along with the super-busy practice. I am now seeing dr. Vanessa Allen in Glenn Dale. Really enjoying her and the smaller size of the practice.

Several coworkers have started going to Stephanie Trifoglio in Greenbelt. She comes highly recommended but my first appt isnt until mid November!

I go to Rita Pabla in Laurel. Love her. She knows Im not a big fan of taking prescription drugs and she suggest national things when she can.

Pediatric Associates is horrible. Do not take your child there! The front desk staff is nasty. The fact that they have so many doctors, you may never see the same one. Stay clear of them! They have multiple locations. I use a family doctor but he's really up there in his age and will probably have to find a new one by the time my son is 10!

We love Dr. Tucker-Powell and Dr. Hubbard. They are great. Love the front desk staff but the quality of care and attention to your kid is awesome. They are now somehow affiliated with Children's.

I second Dr. Youngblood! She's the only Doctor there. If you call for the "on call" Doctor, obviously it's always her. She's very responsive, even on the weekends!

I agree, Pediatric and Adolescent care in Silver Spring...great doctors, esp Dr. Feldman...clean, great service and they know there stuff.

Dr. Gwendolyn Youngblood is in Greenbelt behind Greenway center. Been with her since day 1 nine years ago. Always can get ahold of her and seen same day for sick appointments. She used to work at children's and still keeps her relationship with them so I am never without great medical advice.

Pediatric and adolescent care of silver spring if you don't mind a short drive. Dr. Feldman is great.

I second Dr. Haile!! Best doctor ever!! I wish he was a general instead of a pediatric. He is in his 50's, I think 57, but young and wonderful. Two of my kids have outgrown him and we were all very sad indeed.

I used Pam Parker for both my kids -- the practice is now Silver Spring Pediatrics (www.silverspringpeds.com). They're great (see adolescents and young adults up to age 23) and they are right off Route 29. It was always worth the trip to me. Very highly rated and a real personal touch.

Dr. Lisa at children's across from target. She is great. She is in her mid 30 s. She has great connections with her patients and the parents. She even came to Anthony's funeral

Another vote for Silver Spring Peds here. They have six doctors, so I can always get an appointment for a sick child when I call in the morning. If you go over Cherry Hill Road it's always 20 mins and the traffic never impedes. Our doctor there is Dr Schooler, whom we love, but I've had good experiences with all of them at one time or another. We've been with them since my 9 yo was 4 months old.

Try Dr. Camille Woodson at 301-292-1590 E. Swann Creek Road in Fort Washington. She's good a cool. I used her for years as my family practitioner.

Toinette Thompson-Jones, our doctor is by far the best and you will not be disappointed. I started going first and now my entire family goes to him...even my uncle claggett. But he is in Greenbelt....still, Dr. Tom Maslen at 301-220-0200. His staff is goes through menopause at times but they are sweet.

Glad to hear about Dr. Maslen. I just made an appt as my former doctor just dropped medicare and I was left stuck and unwilling too pay out of pocket. Dr. Maslen takes medicare & united health care.

Dr. Maslen does take Federal BC-BS and several of the various "Blue plans." I can't say he takes all of them though.

If you can't find a woman, I definitely second Dr. Thomas Maslen as a primary care doctor. He has an excellent bedside manner, takes time to listen to and answer your questions, treats you with respect, and has a helpful staff. Also, you're rarely waiting more than 10 minutes for him, and he is on the list for BlueCross BlueShield. And right in Greenbelt.

Dr. Nader Dakak located in Glenn Dale. He is excellent. A very caring,hands on doctor. I worked with him a few years back. He was also my neighbors cardiologist. Also Dr. Joseph Mathews located in Riverdale. I worked for him for a long time. Great doctor also.

I see Dr. Sufia Syed on Greenway Center Drive. She spends a lot of time with you but consequently the waiting room stay is quite long. There is at least one other female doctor in practice with her.

Greenbelt, MD' class='name_reco'>Doctor David Granite is an internist and excellent too. Also specializes in pediatrics and geriatrics. Keeps up on the latest studies and has excellent patient doctor skills. Appointments are usually on time give or take 5 minutes. Front staff are pleasant and no hassles. I have been a patient for 15 years. He recently moved from the Center to 7500 Hanover Parkway Suite 206 Greenbelt, Md 20770

Mike Schwartz at 7500 Hanover Parkway is an excellent cardiologist. He's very well respected by physicians throughout the metro DC area. He's also a genuinely nice guy with a warm bedside manner.

Internal Medicine - Greenbelt is fortunate to have Dr, Thomas Maslen at 7525 Greenway Center Dr. He has a friendly and outstanding staff and he's a been named a top physician by his peers on many occasions. He listens, cares and has a terrific bedside manner. He also stays up-to-date with the latest national NIH and various Board recommendations for items like cholesterol and blood pressure management. Stays on schedule except for emergencies, as well.

Lawrence Timothy Phelps, sad to say that when Dr. Granite sold his practice, he said he would be retiring in two years. That looks like the end of 2015 or beginning of 2016. He's been my doctor for 14 years and hate the thought of having to break in a new doctor...lol

I go to Comprehensive Women's Health, with offices in Silver Spring (not far off Beltway) & now Glenn Dale (probably closer to GB). I've seen Dr. Angela Marshall [to whom a specialist referred me for PCP] as well as their NP. It's a very thorough physical, if you're a certain age it includes checking your heart w/electrodes every 2-3 y. They also take male patients & from physicals my husband & I were both diagnosed w/Vitamin D deficiency. Dr. Marshall said so many of their patients are deficient from today's indoor lifestyle that they check. With supplements, my level is normal, but it's important to me they caught it as it's necessary for bone health & there's strong history of osteoporosis in my family. They also discovered my husband has an autoimmune thyroid condition. His test wasn't hugely off but they just got another vial of blood, found out it was autoimmune & sent him to an endoc. But it's not oppressive over-testing like full body scans. Appointments aren't over-long, average or less time in waiting room, can get in quick for sick visits. Dr. Schachter in College Park (he used to be in Greenbelt but moved to the clinic near the College Park fire station on Melbourne off Route 1 (just north of UM's entrance). You have to call for an appointment to see him but he is located in a walk-in urgent care clinic. I love his personable manner and he's brilliant at diagnoses. (301) 345-4400

Primary Pediatrics in Bowie. They have a Laurel office too.

We are with Parker Pediatrics and have been happy with them. They are located in Silver Spring, right around the intersection of Cherry Hill and Route 29.

Dr Angela Hubbard is the best in Greenbelt! 302-220-1200. She's in Greenway center.

Dr. Mezgebe Haile on Hanover Parkway. He is phenomenal!! We love him, he is wonderful and takes time with each patient and parents.

Primary Pediatrics is terrific. We like every doctor there (but we are in Bowie so it is closer to us). I will always be grateful to them for the expertise they have shown with my kids in situations where we really needed it.

Our family loves Primary Pediatrics, too. We typically go to the Bowie office, and have loved the care of ALL the doctors.

Rich, that is a doctor with ENT & Sleep Specialists. There is also a Dr. Wong and a Dr. Martinez there. Wong and Patel are both head and neck surgeons on call at PG hospital also. Call for an appt but be nice to the ladies answering the phone lol.

Dr. Schachter is amazing but he moved from Greenbelt to College Park. He's worth the ride though (he's very warm and spends time and doesn't rush patients). He's also very good at diagnosing - I had some docs (young) in an ER that couldn't figure out my issue and he knew almost immediately.
