Denise F. replied:
Nursing Assistants don't do paps or exams. Nurse Practitioners do. They have a master's degree in nursing. Usually they are better listeners, are more thorough, great at educating the patients, and spend more time with the patients.

I love love love Dr. Bohannon at Silverdale OB/GYN. She's in the same office as Dr. Quimby.
Kristina K. replied:
Are midwives an option for you? With only two OB practices in Kitsap, the options are so limited that no matter who you work with, you will be waiting, and a fair chance they won't attend your birth anyway. We do have a freestanding birth center, and many homebirth midwifery options as well. Licensed midwives are awesome, and you WILL get the time you need. www.salmonberrybirthcenter.com I've been a birth doula in Kitsap for 14 years and would be happy to help you wade through your options, no pressure.

Dr. Quimby
Maria E. replied:
I third Dr. Quimby! Has been my doctor for all 3 of my girls.
Sarah S. replied:
I love Quimby too but if you aren't an existing patient, I think you will be waiting awhile. After I had my last and final baby, I went ahead and switched my GYN care to my family practice doctor because she is more available. Quimby would be my first choice though if I need a specialist!
Jennifer S. replied:
Silverdale doctors clinic! Dr Christen!!!! He's amazing
I just got in with Dr Zapata and I was really happy with him! Kitsap OBGYN in Silverdale. I was in within a week of making the call and I was a new patient.
Christan B. replied:
My Dr is Dr Quimby. She has a long wait because she's truly worth it. She has always gone out of her way to really listen to my concerns and talk me through things I don't understand. If I just need something small, I see my nurse practitioner but my yearly pap, I don't mind waiting a month. Plus the one time I had an abnormal pap, she got me in the next week.
Dr Anderson in silverdale does it all and she's fab....
Viviana G. replied:
Dr Quimby is amazing. I wouldn't go anywhere else.
Jamie S. replied:

Dr. Hebard, she's in the same group with Quimby. She saved my daughter's life because I was a high risk pregnancy and delivered my preemie ( who is now a very active and healthy 9 year old) and she saved my life when she pushed for a biopsy and found my cancer in its very earliest stages. She's thorough and she cares a lot.
