Hi all! Would someone know a good place here in Belgium to get a laptop with QWERTY keyboard?
Ben C. replied:
If you can use a website in Dutch/Flemish: www.laptopshop.be/category/52995/qwerty-laptops.html
Ben C. replied:
They also have shops that you can visit in Antwerp and Lochristi www.laptopshop.be/winkels

usually within a week, I have never had a problem from amazon.co.uk
Mike J. replied:
Amazon.co.uk free delivery in Belgium over 20 quid....
Mike J. replied:
You could also try bol.com (dutch site) free delivery in Belgium...
Ben C. replied:
Some really rubbish suggestions above. Like amazon.fr for a QWERTY laptop. Or Bol.com - who would charge extra for delivery to Belgium - then probably give it to the Belgian post office who will lose it or (more likely) break it ...

I've had great Amazon.co.uk delivery times -- 2-3 days. Scarily fast.
Lee G. replied:
Had a camera from amazon.co.uk that went wrong after a couple of months, they took it back no problem and got a full refund
Ben C. replied:
Another option is the MediaMarkt in Maastricht ... www.mediamarkt.nl/mcs/marketinfo/mediamarkt-Maastricht,10275,-11.html
Anyone know of a store in Belgium where I can get computer parts like Radio Shack or Maplin in the UK? Not Media Markt.

And then the usual online suspects www.amazon.fr, www.amazon.de, www.materiel.net, www.ldlc.be, www.compumsa.be, www.computeruniverse.net and bunch of others I have not used :-)
Andreea U. replied:
https://www.alternate.be/ 1 day delivery. Some of their prices are comparable with amazon.de. They have a shop/showroom in Aartselaar which is very useful if you're buying PC components, something goes amiss and you need to replace something asap
bol.com. Amazon has the best prices but there have been labor disruptions at their German distribution center. Bol.com has a pretty good selection of English books. I appreciate that because reading Dutch other than business Dutch is painful for me. :-)

Amazon.de, Amazon.co.uk, Amazon.fr, all deliver to Belgium. The first two use to be cheaper, amazon.fr tends to be pricier, but sometimes they can be competitive.
does anyone know where I can buy compression socks? Thanks.
Caroline G. replied:
http://www.pagesdor.be/bandagistes/ You can have compression tight/s, stockings & socks. The shop assistant will measure your legs for width at various points and length. They will determine the grade of compression you need depending on the problem - there are many reasons for this type of support. If you need these tights in pregnancy you will have the top expandable. Stockings can also be an option. It's possible to buy on line once you know your size and compression grade. This type of medical hosiery is expensive in Belgium & elsewhere
Sj M. replied:
or if you know what you need/want, they have them on Amazon.co.uk
