Pianos Hanlet might be a good place to start. They also rent out pianos so maybe you can get a good 2 nd hand there. Alternatively, ask in the shops selling sheet music - maybe they can advise you on where to go.

Try Maene pianos http://www.maene.be/nl/content/home/.aspx or Hanlet in Ixelles. I prefer Maene due to the staff professionalism and friendliness. An electrical piano isn't reallyany good, so definitely get a wooden upright (although you can get a combined version for an extra two thousand, but I don't think they're worth it). Both Maene and Hamlet have new and second-hand pianos for sale. Kawai and Yamaha are the best brands (found in any reputable music school)..or a Steinway. The professional pianos of Kawai and Yamaha are still made in Japan, although the entry models are made in Indonesia. Watch out for other brands that are 'Made in China' (even though they have German names, etc. ). Second-hand professional pianos would probably be a bit wrecked (depending on how many hours they have been played - if they were played for 8 hours a day in a music school, for example). It's best is to try the pianos out in the shop. They'll happily let you play. I'd steer clear of second-hand purchases from individuals unless you know and trust them. You'd have to take the front off the piano to have a good look at the keys. Unless you really know what you're doing, you won't be able to tell if it's in good condition. Good luck finding the right piano!
