Hi there - getting help in Buffalo can be a bit difficult (at least, it was in my experience) but there are some really great providers out there. I see Cheryl Eberl for therapy, and she's absolutely amazing. I see her for anxiety/PTSD, but she also works with people with OCD. I also see a psychiatric nurse practitioner named Jenny Cascio at Williamsville Wellness Center. I don't know if she's accepting new patients right now, but there should be other people at the center who are. I went through 3 or 4 therapists and 3 psychiatrists before I found Cheryl and Jenny, and I can honestly say they've helped turn my life around. Wishing you the best, and let me know if I can help more!

She has made tremendous progress over the year and looks forward to her appointments. She see's Mary if it matters. They will not write you a script but will work with your primary on finding the right one.

UB north campus has a sliding scale program based on income. a student treats you, and the sessions are recorded. personally i think my diagnosis from there did more harm than good, but that is just me. luck

I went here a few decades ago: https://www.ccwny.org/services/monsignor-carr-clinics They were helpful and good for what I needed.

Hey! Good for you for reaching out for suggestions/help. That can be really difficult. My doctor recommended [Behavioral Healthcare Network](https://www.behavioralhealthcarenetwork.org/) of WNY for counselors and therapists. I have not tried any of them myself, but I do trust my doctors recommendations. Hope that helps!

If your in the city, I'd recommend Child and Family Services on Delaware Avenue in Downtown Buffalo. In the Southtowns, Spectrum Human Services located in both West Seneca and Springville. Both have excellent medication providers and therapists who are willing to help you a lot. For Treatment facilities, Brylin is the best. Their therapy program is second to none.

You’re a tank, OP. Takes a man to grab OCD by the horns and say you’re not accepting it any more. I can’t help with suggestions, but can tell you I went to Amherst Pediatricians when I was 15 and saw someone there. Changed my life. Just call around. There are so many places to get help in the area. Just remember that help will come if you look and this feeling is only temporary.

Here you go. The NYS Office of Mental Health has a webpage with a searchable index of providers. Here is the link https://my.omh.ny.gov/bi/pd/saw.dll?PortalPages. It's worth noting that depending on what insurance you have, you may have limits on which office will accept that insurance.

I’ve been happy with Suburban Psychiatric—you can receive counseling from psychologists and meds from psychiatrists. I believe they have multiple locations: http://www.suburbanpsych.org Good luck, OP!

Try to avoid Catholic Charities and Horizon. If you have the dough or a good provider, go private.
