Can anyone recommend a Dermatologist in Castle Rock? I need to get a full skin check ASAP after having a bad nevus removed last month.
Debbie L. replied:
Dr Sobo of Alta Vista ...she is wonderful...on County Line in HR but very easy to get to. 303 888 6426
Jennifer U. replied:
Not in CR, but located close at Sky Ridge. http://www.aboutskinderm.com/
Lynette H. replied:
Yeah don't use the one behind Target, she is very dry to her patients and their parents. Her name is Dr. Broomer.
Anjanette D. replied:
Dr. James DeVito
Kelly S. replied:
Thank-you all so much. I was able to get an appointment with Dr. Stoler at AboutSkin at the end of January. I was hoping to get something sooner, but with all of your recommendations it sounds like they are worth the wait. Appreciate all of your time!!!
Katy L. replied:
I agree with the others, do not use Dr Boomer! She's terrible. About Skin is awesome
Kelly S. replied:
Honestly I am trying to move away from Dr. Broomer. She would only look at 3 of my concerned spots and one of them turned out to be a bad nevus that required immediate surgery. What if there are more? Why only look at 3 spots?
Mary C. replied:
I had Dr. Broomer look at a carcinoma on my face and she was cold as ice when she gave me the news knowing full well that I had gone through cancer recovery only 8 months prior. I have never returned to her.
Melanie R. replied:
Dr Ho at About Skin at Sky Ridge.
Solana P. replied:
I go to Dr. Boomer too. Just had a thing removed from my arm. I thinks she's ok but would love to hear more about other peoples experiences.
Katy L. replied:
I don't like Dr Boomer because she's rude and isn't a good dr. I did not feel comfortable with her care as a physician. She isn't approachable with any concerns you have and she probably misses a lot of stuff because of it. Everyone at About Skin is awesome and intelligent and compassionate. Way better drs there!
Suzanne P. replied:
Castle Rock Dermatology on Allen street
Dawna S. replied:
Another vote for NO on Dr. Boomer, think I will go back to Cheryl Marcus in the Springs. Dr. Boomer was to sterile in her personality for me and made me feel like an inconvenience not a patient. Wish I would have asked the same question before I went.
Chrissie W. replied:
Dr Swanson with Advanced Dermatology is the best! Her main office is in Centennial but she comes to Castle Rock every Tuesday. 3 rd floor of the Alexander building. She specializes in children but I go to her.
Chrissie W. replied:
Also totally agree about Dr Broomer. Would not recommend her!
Randi G. replied:
Wow, I've been to Dr. Broomer multiple times and absolutely loved her. She was very patient with me, explained everything and I left her office feeling more educated and able to handle my issue.I would go back to her anytime.
Matt J. replied:
I can tell you I would NOT recommend Dr Sigler at Sky Ridge.
Katie E. replied:
Call Asarch Dermatology! They are the best!
Gwen K. replied:
We actually go to Dr. Broomer and like her, though I was not impressed the first time we went. I can see why some people don't like her, but she is very pleasant with us.
Charlie P. replied:
Called Dr. Boomer for appt yesterday. They're booking in Mid. Dec. for new patients. Have heard good and bad about the office.
Pat W. replied:
Dr. Stoler
Jamie T. replied:
Dr. Stoler at AboutSkin
Mary C. replied:
We use Dr. Sobo. I dont recommend the lady dermatologist behind Target. No bedside manners. Not friendly at all. I forgot her name.
Kimberly B. replied:
I think I've been to most everyone in CR but the best hands down is Dr. Devito in Lone Tree......Completely worth the few extra miles......I gaurantee it!http://www.caramiadayspa.com/index.php%3Fid%3D3%26 page...

I also vote for APEX dermatology in Littleton or Denver. Dr. Theriault is awesome.
Hey Denver Friends: a client moved his elderly mother her from Boston, into Heritage Club, near Colorado & Evans. She was asking for for referrals for the following,...
Judy D. replied:
Also for a dentist your client might want to see if Senior Dental Services comes to her mother's Heritage Club. A father & son team, Drs. Hasenauer, bring their converted bus to the facility. They are outstanding. I like that they are specialists in dealing with geriatric dentistry & also with all that goes with it (like dementia & immobility issues). Your client doesn't have to be there when care is being given. Their offices are located near Porter Hospital. 303-471-0346

OMG - I was just raving about your Garlic Knots to my friends when we were at Holiday Tea at the Brown Palace today!! That is too funny! I was telling them your garlic knots beat La Dolce Vita, hands down! Oh now I'm hungry… for your pizza, salad, and knots w/ marina, sigh, sigh, sigh.
Brian C. replied:
Aspenwood Animal Hospital 1290 S. Colorado Blvd- Dr Laura Hedlin Laura DVM is the best. She was my dogs vet for many years before I moved. Can't help with the OB though
K.C. N. replied:
I lived right around the corner from Heritage Club and my grandmother lived there for a time. But that was years ago. My OB-GYN has retired. I always used Herm Anderson as my vet (he retired here iBut I agree with the Aspenwood vet clinic. It's close and I was always told they did a good job. The Albertsons is now an office depot i think. Safeway is down the road just a schosh. Good luck. I always loved going to the Heritage Club. Those folks were social whirlwinds. There was always something going on. Cocktails at 5 every day were a hoot. I would take my dog who would wander around the room and get pets. Even after my grandmother moved into a more intensive living arrangement, they asked me to bring her over because she had become so popular.

Dentist: Cody Dental on Colorado and south of Yale. They are the best. Ask for Dr. Matt or Bruce Dunn.

I'm looking for a pediatric dermatologist - any recommendations? Thanks so much!
Melanie R. replied:
I use Dr. Ho at About Skin@sky ridge. While its a general dermatology firm, he's seen my 9 y.o. son for warts and eczema. He did great with my son's plantar warts when he was 7 and was very fearful of the liquid nitrogen and the razor to shave the skin.
Teri T. replied:
Dr. Joseph Morelli@Children's is one of the preeminent pediatric dermatologists in the country.
Cynthia Z. replied:
I took my nine year old son to Dr. Broomer with Castle Rock Dermatology. I was very pleased and the treatment she prescribed for my son's eczema has really helped!
