Looking for a therapist Hey y'all. I'm on student insurance at UIUC and I'm looking for a good therapist, preferably female and in downtown Champaign.

[These guys and gals](http://elliottcounselinggroup.com/) are good. All their bio's are on the website so you can pick somebody who you think you would get along with.
LuckyYellow replied:
If you're a student check out [the counseling center](http://counselingcenter.illinois.edu/counseling). They've got professional male and female counselors, and it's a free service for students.

There's a mental health unit in McKinley that I went to last year. I forgot exactly how many sessions you get, but I believe it was 8. I personally liked them better than the Counseling Center and it is easier to get into.

Check out the site psychology today. It has listings of therapists according to your zip code. They also include little bios of the therapists, price range, insurance they accept, and what they specialize in.

Honestly, good fucking luck. The mental health resources around here are terrible. Your best bet would be to go to the Counselling center, but I know for a fact that Carle has a 4+ month waiting list.
