Townsend Auto has been fantastic so far...

Avoid Chelmsford Auto. They cancelled or no showed 9 times for 8 driving lessons (even no showed for the rescheduled lessons). They cancelled the test date too.

We used Billerica auto school, been happy with them.

Nashoba Valley Auto School in Westford is the same as Mass Auto School of Chelmsford (in Vinal Sq) and Billerica Auto School. The are all divisions of Mass Auto School. My two did their classes in Westford, and I took the parent class in Billerica since the date was more convenient. They schedule lessons from school, home (or anywhere) and scheduling is done online. That reminds me Cam needs to schedule his lessons....

I did my class time at Chelmsford Auto School and I did my driving lessons with Stop and Go Auto School in Tewksbury. Both were good.

We went to Chelmsford Auto, no big complaints. Forgot to call a few times when they had to change appointments so my daughter was waiting, but overall really easy to deal with I thought.

We used Massachusetts Auto School for Evan and Cameron. Cam took the class last summer, got his permit in September and starts his lessons this Saturday. We've been happy with them. http://www.massautoschool.com/Upcoming-Classes.html

My lad got his license 6 months ago. We went to Chelmsford auto school...he did fine. Their communication with the pupils and parents left a lot to be desired.

My son has been taking lessons from Future Drivers as well, but we had some concerns. I found it very hard to schedule road lessons for my son this summer. We knew ahead of time when he would be in town, but we had to sign up online. Lessons are available for sign up on a week by week basis, and the date and time that the lessons go up for sign ups is not predictable. If you are a day or two late in seeing that the next week has been posted, it may be too late to get the dates you need. We have been happy with the road lessons themselves.
