Banfield in Chelmsford (at Petsmart) is an excellent place to bring your pup. They have a wellness plan that is affordable and saves me $$. Their care of my Gracie has saved her life, and the Vets and staff are so kind and caring to her during our visits. The Westford Veterinary Emergency Referral Center (978-577-6525) is also excellent if you can't get a vet appointment soon. All of the vets and staff were extremely kind and caring when my girl ended up in their ER. Highly recommend both facilities.

Westford Animal Hospital is outstanding! They are a "no fear" vet and treat pets like their own. Lots of treats and peanut butter for the pups!

I used to go to McGraths a few years back and know how great the vets are there. I started to go to Chelmsford Animal Hospital when I got my new kitties 5 years ago. Love, love the vets there! Just the same amount of caring and concern there as at McGrath. They work with you to try find the best and cost effective options on treating your pet. Can't recommend them enough.

Dr. Lovely at Chelmsford Animal Hospital. Our dog (Mastiff) since March has had 2 tplo's, spay and Dr. Lovely was so wonderful with her, as well as the staff. We also used to go to McHrath, saw Dr. Kaplan, but he retired. Very happy with Dr. Lovely and trust her 100%

I just changed from Chelmsford Animal Hospital to Nashoba Valley Hospital. Chelmsford is somewhat of a hit or miss. Hard to get appointments even harder if you want a specific vet. Have a cat losing weight and the appointment was a month out. Luckily I misunderstood and thought it was the end of August, not September. She has kidney failure and might not have survived. Felt like they were pushing expensive tests and hospitalization. Very happy with service & advice from Nashoba. Bonus is that they are significantly less expensive. Wish I’d changed earlier. (Facebook added chelmsford, not me)

Chelmsford Animal Hospital, they are the best. When our previous dog was diagnosed with cancer, Dr. Berthold guided us through all the choices. She even arranged for us to bring him to another vet who specialized in his type of cancer. This was a cheaper alternative than going to Boston. Our current dog is being treated there and we've seen most of them. All very good.

Saugus Animal Hospital. It’s far but I took my dog there for 14 years, even when I lived in Andover and when we moved to Nashua. Dr. Binder is the best.

What have they tested for/ruled out? So many things can lead to weight loss. How is his/her drinking and urine output? I had a cat diagnosed with diabetes years ago and he was drinking and peeing a TON. And also losing weight. Thyroid issues and kidney issues can also be the culprit. We were patients at Chelmsford Animal Hospital and loved them. If you've seen the local vets and they can't figure anything out, I'd go to Tufts in Grafton. Expensive, but they're very good.

The Cat Doctor in Bedford or Nashua. They are wonderful! Since they only do cats they are able to focus all their time and resources and being the most up to date with all things cat

Chelmsford Animal Hospital was wonderful when my goofy Maine Coon was diagnosed with diabetes. We hadn't really noticed the weight loss at first because he was so fluffy, plus he had had all his teeth pulled. Sadly we did not catch it in time.

Dr Julie Kopser is my go to person at Countryside in Chelmsford. My Domino went thru multiple treatments for hyperthyroidism. We did end up with radioactive iodine treatments at Radiocat in Wakefield but check in with Dr Julie.

Foster (Tufts Animal) Hospital for Small Animals in North Grafton. It’s a whole team so if one doesn’t know then they have other resources. Part of Tufts veterinary school. Ask your vet which type of specialist to refer you to (or ask the hospital). Our pup has had a myriad of issues and they were amazing.

So sorry you lost your kitty. To be honest we are going back to Linwood Animal Hospital in Lowell. I am not impressed with Chelmsford Animal Hospital and how they are caring for our aging yellow lab.

I am so sorry. Our own cat had to be put down in August. It was during the week so we were able to use Chelmsford Animal Hospital. Sorry that I cannot be helpful with other veterinary recommendations that might be more affordable.

About 20 years ago we were in a similar situation with a dying beloved kitty and the vet we were at was still pushing expensive tests ... we went to what is now Whole Pet in Westford and we’re very happy with how they helped us...

I've always used Dr Katherine Reiner (The Katmobile) from Acton. She comes to your home and does it right there in the cat's familiar surroundings. That way the cat is not traumatized by the trip. We go tp Nashoba Valley vet too. We have both dogs and cats. Our dog has an unknown allergy and they have been great working with us. Recommended a treatment plan with them first over very expensive allergy testing and explained why. Also, our beloved cat recently became sick and their whole staff was great. Dr. Smith walked through all of our options, helped us decide when to spend some money on a specialist for a better diagnosis, was honest about referring us to who he'd send his pet to, and then coached us through the decision to put him to sleep when it was time. They were all just great.

Middlesex County Animal Hospital, on 3A in Billerica! Specifically Dr. Evelyn Bailey. She is a superstar in my book! We have been with her for over 20 years and is very trustworthy and will not do unnecessary tests.

The women who operate Westford Animal Hospital are very knowledgeable and caring. They helped us care for 2 senior dogs without taking us to the cleaners or making us feel guilty about our decisions.

Banfield Animal Hospital (at Petsmart - Chelmsford ). They have an excellent wellness plan that has saved me money for the past 5 yrs. All of the vets are excellent. They saved my dog from an autoimmune disease, that is not very well known. They recognized it immediately which is one of the reasons I still have my sweet girl. They are also nation wide which is great when we travel to Florida by car.

We've taken our dogs to Nashoba Valley Veterinaryl Hospital. They are so loving and caring. Our German Shephard got very nervous going into the examining room so when all possible they would do the exam in the waiting room. They were so comforting to us after our dog died. Highly recommend them!

We have used Swans Corner for years. I love it there.

We go to Swan Corner as well. It came highly recommended, and I have not been disappointed. Our puppy was spayed there about 6 months ago. I was very happy with them. They don't try to oversell you on things you don't need like my last vet did.

Both our dogs go to Belvidere vet. They are wonderful there

I take my pets to Whole Pet in Westford, but have taken foster dogs to Swan Corner since they help out Operation Delta Dog (which trains rescue dogs to be service dogs for veterans), and liked them a lot. I also think it's lovely that they support that organization!

Chelmsford Animal Hospital- dr Clair Thomas, great! Our dog had surgery in Aug and we worked with two of the other docs then as well, great place!! The techs and front desk staff are very friendly.

I've worked at Countryside Veterinary Hospital in Chelmsford for 7 years, and would never take my own dog anywhere else.

I'm fairly new to town and I brought my two dogs to Countryside Veterinary Hospital. I have been so happy with them. The facility is beautiful, but the staff and vets are so kind, friendly and professional. They always make me feel like my dogs are the most important dogs to them. It's easy to schedule appointments. I love their email reminders when shots need to be updated. I cant't say enough. Love them!

Shiny Coats on Fletcher St. They are wonderful and will do whatever you want with your dog's cut. We've been taken our little cockapoo there for a few years. We also like her to look less sculpted and poodle - like and more rounded. They call it a puppy cut and we are very happy with them. They adore the dogs and are very gentle and loving with them.

Shiny Coats also does a great job with large dogs as well.

The Grooming Emporium- the owner has a poodle herself. They are very affordable and work slowly with new clients. Very attentive to dogs body language and keeping the atmosphere comfortable for them.

Dr Berchtold is our regular vet there and she is great.

I use Chelmsford Animal hospital and have had great luck. With one of my animals they told me to go to Tufts in Grafton because it was a serious issue. They are great.

With something like this I’d rush him right into Angel Memorial Animal Hospital in Boston (Jamaica Plain). They deal with real serious emergencies and they are so amazing. And not as expensive as you’d think. Our dog was poisoned once and they did great work on him! He lived very happily 7 years after.
