Can y’all recommend a good like jewelers sonic cleaner and solvent to use with it that will strip models, mainly metal, and get rid of the glue too?
Joshua L. replied:
Simple Green Pro HD heavy duty cleaner. I just bought my Ultrasonic and that stuff, Dropped 10 Metal IG troops I bought off a guy, in the stuff and ran it for several cycles ( my cleaner runs 10 mins at a time ). So Might have run them for an hour and a half at most. A quick brushing later and they were like new, Brushing was very limited, The model were primed with GW black, heavy painted with old GW paints, glued in the based with super glue. The bases were pva and sand. When all was said and done it was all gone! I was fairly amazed. My old way of dropping them in a glass jar or acetone and all the silliness that goes with working with that stuff is a thing of the past.
