This doesn't meet all of your criteria, but it's definitely on my list for a volunteer vacation. Best Friends Animal Society has a huge sanctuary in Utah. You might contact Anna Taft (she lives in Ohio and runs the Tandana Foundation). http://www.tandanafoundation.org/volunteer_vacations.html They have groups going to Equador and she's got great support and organization (her great grandfather was William Howard Taft and her grandfather or dad? was governor of Ohio). I've always wanted to go, but the timing has never worked out. But she's pretty amazing. Tell her I sent you her way if you contact her!
