Chicago Nutritionist Anyone know of a good nutritionist in Chicago that's affordable and can get me in the direction of a good diet? Please let me know! Thanks

Keep in mind that you want a dietitian , not a nutritionist. dietitians are licensed professionals. Nutritionists are whoever wants to call themselves a nutritionist.

Download an app like myfitnesspal to track your in-take, keeps you honest about snacking. Make sure to keep your protein up and carbs and fat a bit lower if you're trying to lose weight. Exercise is a huge one too, not just to burn calories but because of the positive impact it has on your motivation and ability to say no to unhealthy foods. I use [**gymphoria**](http://gymphoria.com/).

Checkout http://www.Factor75.com . I work for a software dev company and they're one of our clients... but i've no incentive in advertising for them, i just believe in the product + it is pretty yummy

Eat more good shit. Eat less bad shit. Maybe cut back on carbs a little. Eat more vegetables. That'll be $20.

My company uses [this lady](http://dimensions-in-health.com/dih_founder.html). She researches and cites her information well. Not sure how affordable she is for individuals.

Eatlikethepros.com it's the nutritionist of the Blackhawks, Julie Burns. The players love her food but it's not the cheapest option in town.

I had some friends go through the dietetics program at Loyola. If you don't mind getting your nutrition advice from students, there's usually some very affordable/free programs you can enroll in through them.

Buy a used vitamix/blendtec ($180 for used base, $100 for new jar), everyday put milk (almond perferred), kale, spinach, celery, 2 apples, and possibly unflavored protein powder (hemp is good). Drink that every morning out of this large 32 oz container. http://www.shopstanley-pmi.com/product_detail.do?q=27195 Your metabolism will increase and it will make you save money compared to a nutritionist. Google Green Smoothies and it will talk about losing weight fast.
I need a nutritionist who can make a presentation on healthy eating. If you know one, hit me up ASAP.

Check out your local dietetic association’s website, they might have a section listing contact information for RDs willing to serve as preceptors. Better yet, network in person. Also, ACEND has a database where you can search for preceptors: http://www.eatrightacend.org/ACEND/content.aspx?id=6442464994 Good luck with your last semester!

Hospitals may be difficult to get into. Try local school systems (Marietta City Schools, Cobb County Schools), RDs in private practice, consider checking with the Georgia Academy or the Greater Atlanta Dietetic Association.

Cindy Culver is head of Marietta City Schools nutrition. I know she takes interns. Aslo, I would look into local WIC offices and nursing homes.
