Anyone out there have a favorite dermatologist/surgeon you recommend? Have a place on my face, back and shoulder that need attention. Too much fun in the sun years ago.
Gerry D. replied:
Talk to Joshua's Ashley, she' a PA for a dermatologist at Skin Center on Blue Ridge Rd. (919) 322-0049
Ginny B. replied:
Azalea Dermatology or Skin Clinic is who Jimmy goes to, also.
Betsy E. replied:
Mine is in Durham, if you want to come here, I will give you his name and number, he is very, very good, I had a place on my face (twice, in different locations) and he sent me to the Mohs Clinic in Durham also. People tell me they can't see the scars, Dr. Cook (the surgeon) is wonderful.
I LOVED Dr. Nasir when I was in Raleigh. http://www.healthgrades.com/.../patient-ratings...

I had a great experience at Carolina Dermatology last Thursday. I saw the doctor and he was good but I was most impressed with his PA Jessica. Go there for sure. It's in the Summit building on 70 w just past the Rite Aid and McD's.
Clayton/Raleigh friends...I need a recommendation for a dermatologist. Any recommendations?
Dave P. replied:
I liked Dr. Tomar, he is fun, I have had him do a couple of procedures, And its so nice to have a quality person here in Clayton too!
Brad H. replied:
Blue Ridge Dermatology. Dr. Michele Lokitz
Dave P. replied:
Dr. Tomar here in Clayton is good
Mary G. replied:
We used Azalea in Garner. Dr. Ketchum is smart and knows his stuff but his bed side manner is not that great.
Chris W. replied:
I went to Karin Linthicum in Raleigh...really liked her. My husband is actually going to Ketchum today for the first time.
Butch L. replied:
I recently went to Carolina Dermatology in Clayton and was very pleased. They're in Summit Medical building on 70 across from Taco Bell.
Butch L. replied:
Try Dr Tomar at Carolina Dermatology. Stay in Clayton. My girls went to Azalea and I wasn't impressed.
Betsy M. replied:
Agree with comments abt Azalea. (3 family members went there; 2 saw NP, who was OK, husband saw Dr K & wasn't impressed, changed to Dr Rebecca Oyler in Raleigh. Better, but not impressive, either.) One saw Dr Thomas Andrus, & he was good. Another went once to a derm in Durham & never went back bc of horrible bedside manner. Seems like good derms are hard to find!
Shauna M. replied:
Dr. Briley at Southern Dermatology on Lake Boone Trail! After going to 4 different practices she finally found the cause of a rare skin problem that I was having. Great practice!
Andrea B. replied:
Fernando Puente - have known him for years. Went to church together when we lived in Raleigh. I usually see one of his PAs for my body checks. Still make the trip to Raleigh.
Kim S. replied:
Dr. Tomar at Carolina Dermatology right here in Clayton
Iris T. replied:
We also use Dr. Briley
Beth H. replied:
Went to Azalea. Kept me waiting over 90 minutes to see me and then punted my concerns. I might have to try Dr. Tomar.
Does anyone in the Clayton/Garner area have a dermatologist they recommend?
Katherine C. replied:
I took Presley to Azalea Skin at White Oak. I liked them, they were very thorough and had great follow up with the doctor calling me herself instead of a nurse.
To my Garner/Clayton peeps.....I need a dermatologist who do you suggest? Would like someone in the Garner Area not really wanting to drive to Smithfield or Cary.
