I know this was asked in some prior posts but I do not have the capability of searching prior posts. My family physician, Doctor Granite, retired. Does anyone...
I got so caught up in the search question that I forgot--I use Dr. Waseem Hussain, too, and love him! He's thorough, seems to promote lifestyle changes over drugs, and yet he isn't pushy. He's more a gentle prodder.
Susan K. replied:
Just to add Dr. Waseem Hussain is awesome!

My search button does that to me sometimes too Lawrence Timothy Phelps! I was on a sale site and I was searching for a post that I saw on a glider and instead it gave me everything I was selling that I posted. Other times it works perfect. . . I also had Dr. Granite as my PCP. Sad to see him go. Didn't care for new-ish NP that was there. Made comments twice that were kind of rude when she thought I couldn't hear. Old NP was great but she moved on and I don't remember her name.

I don't know why Lawrence doesn't see the search results like we do, but here's a link to the most recent result there: https://www.facebook.com/groups/115440928480947/permalink/1019084008116630/
Does anyone know if Dr. Delbert Morales at Roosevelt Center is a good doctor?
Mary E. replied:
The Dr. Office...Dr. Granite moved out of the Roosevelt Center.
Carolyn H. replied:
If I am remembering correctly I believe he used to be with Dr. Granite and we liked him.
Lawrence P. replied:
True Laura Beckert. Doctor Granite keeps up on studies etc. When a public health nurse at work alarmed me about my triglyceride levels, Granite laughed and quoted Brookhaven study and my triglyceride level was fine. Never "pushed pills" on me. Great bedside manner.
Linda B. replied:
Dr. Morales is in Columbia, MD. He said he was missing too much time with his family and decided that he needed to move his practice closer to home. That was a shame as he was a really nice guy. I have been thinking of going back to him now as Dr. Granite gets ready to retire. I have never known Dr. Granite to be a pill pusher either. I think he's a decent doctor and they're hard to find nowdays.
Amber E. replied:
Well I personally know many people who have been able to go in that office and say this hurts or I'm suffering with.... No proper testing done and just keeps refilling pain pills or anxiety meds. He's big on giving out Adderall (sp) like its candy! Of course he's not gonna announce that or the people who take advantage of it are gonna tell all about it! When I went to Dr.Morales for anxiety issues instead of suggesting prescription meds, he suggested I check out Greenbelt Cares to talk to someone and said if that doesn't help then come back and we can try some medication if I wanted. Never needed the pills!!!
Cathy F. replied:
David Schachter, 301-345-4400, College Park now.
Michael S. replied:
Dr. Morales left quite awhile ago to be closer to his home.
Linda I. replied:
I believe Dr. Morales is in Beltsville now.
Laura B. replied:
I liked Dr. Morales. Dr. Granite is great and has never been a pill pusher with my family and me.
Lawrence P. replied:
I went to Doctor Morales once when Doctor Granite was not available. He did leave over 5 years ago. He is listed as being at Patient First in Columbia now. https://www.patientfirst.com/PhysicianSchedules.aspx?PageType=Bio&DocId=6551
Does anyone here want to be a naturopathic doctor? Or maybe knows someone who is one or is on that track? I'm highly considering switching from MD to ND and wanted to...
Allie D. replied:
Hey Yixin! I visited Bastyr University in Seattle and they're one of the top schools for acupuncture and NDs, maybe check out their website? Anyway what I learned is that it's just as hard as med school but they practiced the kind of medicine they thought was the most effective and wholesome. The downside though is that despite all of your hard work, you're going to be much less accepted in the medical community (this trend is changing though I think, especially in the Pacific Northwest) and probably gonna make less money.
Yixin C. replied:
Lololololol THANK YOOOUUUU ALLIE
Neda M. replied:
Dr Stephanie porter is a great naturopathic doctor in Maryland who Michael interned for. Michael is starting an ND program in Arizona at the Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine- email him if you're interested (mikejam17@gmail.com)
