Places to donate money to in Columbus? Good morning! In lieu of giving Christmas presents this year, I’m donating my bonus to charity. I’m wondering what the best...

Mid Ohio Food Bank has an incredible reputation for doing good and managing money/donations well. They turn every dollar into 3 meals.

The Mid Ohio Food bank is always a good bet. They provide the food and organization that allows local food pantry's the advantages of a distribution system. Your money goes a long way to help a lot of people. https://www.midohiofoodbank.org/

Holy Family Soup Kitchen does a massive service to our homeless, not only serving hot meals to 300+ people a day, but also hosting the Mt Carmel medical Outreach once a week, preparing woods bags for the homeless, and teaming up with the food pantry.

Choices is a great option. Last year they had a amazon wishlist of diapers, wipes etc they needed. My wife and I decided to buy a bunch for them rather than do Christmas gifts for each other.

I'm a big fan of [The Legal Aid Society of Columbus](https://www.columbuslegalaid.org). It's a non-profit that provides legal services to a variety of low-income, elderly or otherwise disadvantaged people. They do a lot of work on domestic violence divorce/custody proceedings and helping human/sex trafficking victims.

[A Kid Again](https://akidagain.org/) We make life for families caring for a child with a life-threatening illness “normal” again by helping them gain back moments of positive, family-shared experiences and memories. Absolutely wonderful organization.

The Columbus Metropolitan Library. They have [Homework Help Centers](https://www.columbuslibrary.org/hhc) and [Get Ready For Kindergarten](https://www.columbuslibrary.org/readyforkindergarten) programs to which you can directly donate. These programs supplement the school systems and help kids in need. At the Northern Lights branch, you cannot even find a parking spot during Homework Help Center time, due to the demand.

Columbus Diaper Coalition! There's no state or local government based program (like WIC or food stamps) that help with diapers, so this is huge for those that are struggling to make ends meet.

https://www.pinkribbongirls.org They provide transportation, meals, cleaning and support to families and individuals suffering from breast and gynecological cancers, and it’s local. And midohio food bank that others have already mentioned does really great work as well. Thanks for being generous with your bonus and helping out others :)

Given the eviction rate here, any donations that can help a family stay housed is worthwhile. Probably my favorite charity in Columbus is The Good Samaritan Fund at First Church, 444 East Broad. It's extremely high on the benefit/cost ratio (I think if you donate to that fund, all of it goes to people in need.) I've even seen the people who volunteer to run that fund cry tears of joy for donations received, and that's just sweet.

Does anyone know of anyone small breed puppies for sale or rescue in the area?
I already checked the shelter.

Please check shelters in the surrounding counties too. Brother Wolf as well. They may have contacts with rescues that could help you find what you're looking for in a fur baby.
