Ok people! I want a male English bulldog. I refuse to use a pet store. Most breeders are asking 1300-2300 bux for akc registered. Don't need a show dog. Please help

Ben, try calling the Franklin County Animal Shelter ~ 614-525-3647. They can probably give you the number of a rescue group you could call. The sad part about pet store animals is they're probably puppy mill dogs that the store has paid a very small amount for. Back when we had Huskies they were charging $600-800 per pup and paying the breeder only $50 for them.
Pet Stores near campus? Does anybody know of any pet stores near campus that allow you to play with dogs?

If you wanna pet my dog you can The shelter isn't a far drive. There's a pet store where people bring dogs, but they don't usually have dogs up for adoption, in the Short North. It's called PetValu During May, the dog park in Wheeler will reopen. It's just down Neil, near Goodale.

There's a PetCo across the river, right by Target. Not sure about playing with dogs but you can pet the cats there.

Volunteer with the Humane Society of Franklin County, or, also go to some of the meetings for 4 Paws for Ability which has service dogs in training that you can play with. LOL

Cat colony!! It's like a 10 minute drive for unlimited cats. There's also a pretty nice one on High that has some of the healthiest betta fish I've ever seen
