I'm really liking Fuller's on Live Oak. Friendly and good. Decent prices for laundering. I haven't done too much dry cleaning, but the price seemed reasonable.

Sunshine cleaners on Maple. Charlie Kane, who is your good tailor?.... Not the crappy one....
Charlie K. replied:
The fitting room by Bea Harper@4111 Lomo Alto Dr. Is a very good tailor. She is pricy and used to work for Stanly Korshak but excellent. I went to another tailor this spring to save some bucks and the other tailor ruined a new suit, I should have gone the Bea. Sunshine cleaners is a good cleaner.

There is one on Walnut Hill / Marsh behind the 7-11 ... That small group of businesses that has been there fir years. Eagle Cleaners, great people.
Jessica C. replied:
Avoid Town and Country on Inwood!! They destroyed 3 expensive wedding garments and lost another. They refused to take responsibility for it. It was a nightmare.
Laura S. replied:
We take our things to Comet Cleaners at Preston and NW Hwy. Service is excellent! We tried Tip Top, but the prices were always changing.
Anyone have a recommendation for a good dry cleaner in Dallas? My local one is fine, but I have a summer knit dress that's a bit fragile & want to put it in good hands!...
Heather L. replied:
One of the few that I would trust with it is Uptown Cleaners at Live Oak and Skillman. Also, Sunshine is good but farther from you.
Stacey W. replied:
Seems like I'm too late, but hand's down, if you have an expensive dress with a stain that someone else will "try" to remove but then put one of those "we tried but had to stop or damage your fabric" tags on it...then you want to take it to DD French on Oak Lawn by the Whole Foods and Nonna. She is crazy expensive, but she's extremely well known in the dry cleaning industry and will not ruin anything no matter the fabric. I've even taken red wine stains on silk dresses...she's that good, so you get what you pay for. But if it doesn't warrant quite that level of attention, then in this area, I go to Swiss cleaners at Mockingbird/Central in the corner closest to SMU.
Stacey W. replied:
I'm interested to try Uptown Cleaners. I used to go to a cleaner with that name near the Crescent but they closed several years ago and were reported to be finding a new location. They were amazing! That Skillman/Live Oak location has always been there, so I figured they were not related, but maybe they are. Def worth a try - it's so hard to find trusted dry cleaners in this country...something I will never understand.
In 2015 I am giving up ironing my husband's dress shirts. So I need feedback on dry cleaners and what's a good price per shirt. Thanks in advance!

Lisa P. replied:
I still take hubbys to the cleaner by Horizon Car Wash in Rockwall. I think it's about $1.25 a shirt for laundered and pressed. Dry cleaning is $2.50 I think.
Erin K. replied:
Actually Spencer Hadley he usually does. What should have said was I am tired of feeling guilty for now ironing my husbands shirt so this year... ;)

Cindi W. replied:
Hands down, the best cleaners is Sunshine Cleaners on Maple near the tollway. It is not in the neighborhood, but is worth the drive. Great prices, family owned, and they have done my antique linens with great skill and care. HIGHLY recommend.
ISO someone who can replace a zipper on a dress....sent it to the dry cleaners and they broke but don't trust them to fix.
Amber T. replied:
Unique Tailor on Mockingbird Lane! I should add, too, that you may want to go when you're not in a rush bc there usually is a line. Totally worth the wait and they move quickly!
