We love First School at First Baptist, which is full time only. Great loving teachers, low turnover, lots of fun activities for the kids everyday, and below-average tuition (for Decatur). And rolling admission, so you wouldn't have to wait until August to start. There's a waitlist, but it's not as long as some others in the area. Happy to chat more if you have specific questions.

Liza S. replied:
Go to College Heights. It's THE BEST! Sometimes they have openings in the little baby room bc you have to pay to hold the slot and many can't afford to do that starting in August. Worth a shot.
Gabriella S. replied:
Turning Sun is wonderful but we needed longer hours once our son turned 3. We waited three years for college heights and it has been worth the wait! Get on the waiting list if you live in Decatur. We currently are the 0-3 program and its the best decision we made. No lottery necessary! Good luck!:)

There's a few openings at Holy Trinity Preschool, across the street from Glennwood Elementary. There is some basic church-y stuff, like Wed morning chapel, but the folks there and at the church are liberal--accepting of all kinds of people. PM me if you want more information.

Melody H. replied:
I worked at learning ladder in Decatur ... I know both the baby teachers there and they are so good with the babies. Jackson was in there while I worked and he was fine. Even for the little babies they do have a lesson plan. But if you are looking for something cheaper then I would go to care.com and get a nanny. Especially if its only going to be at most three times a week. You don't want to be paying for those extra day you aren't going to take her
Rachel H. replied:
Preslee has gone to Pettit Private School on Deer Park since we moved up here. Both my kids go there for after school care now.
Meagan R. replied:
The learning leader is for disd staff last time I checked. They had opened a location up at Central Fellowship church that was open to the public, but the church changed its name, so i am not sure if the day care is still there. Then there is Pettit, but I hear its really pricey. Victory Kids Care, I know nothing about. Then I saw the other day that where College Street daycare used to be, there was a sign that said Wise Owl learning academy opening soon... or something like that. I'm not 100% on the name, but you might check it out. Good luck!
