Canine PhD would be my #1 rec. all positive and the trainers are awesome. My only issue is that they are a tad on the expensive side. I currently go to Frogs to Dogs for their reactive dog class and they're pretty decent. I'd also rec ADOG I personally haven't done a class there(plan to do their control unleashed and nose work class with my girls), but have been recommended to them by several people. If your dog's a rescue they give you a discount for your first set of classes http://www.adog-ga.com/

We have had lots of training. Jabula is very good. We have a tough rescue. If you need to go one step beyond then you might want to consider CPT - they are the ones training the dogs at Emory to stand still to go into the MRI. NYT article. http://www.cpt-training.com

Highland Pet Supply. It's more like a psychology class than pet training class. We learned many things we carried over into parenthood!

We had two amazing courses with Mailey McLaughlin at the Atlanta Humane Society. Not expensive, small classes with the same dogs during the course, LOTS of great "additional" advice via email if you ask any questions. Always ready to talk, even after the class ended. Basic and Intermediate. She's so supportive and also just a fantastic teacher.
Has anyone had a good experience with a dog trainer that doesn’t cost $1,500+? I’m looking for a dog trainer for my one year old english bulldog. I don’t need any...

Frogs to Dogs in Kirkwood has been awesome. My wife set it up so I don't know all the exact cost or option details. It's around $100-$125 a session I believe and they come to you. You set the schedule, how many sessions you want, etc.

Stupid answer as this may be, I signed up for Masterclass and Brandon McMillans dog training videos have been really spot on for learning how to train mine If you learn it yourself, you can reinforce it as you go onward

We have been working with Megan, the owner of Prime(d) Instincts. Her prices were very reasonable, she came to our house for an hour each week to work with us and our pup. Very experienced and knowledgeable. Our puppy just graduated from her beginners program and we’re hoping to sign up for intermediate training next month. You can sign up for a free phone consultation on her [website](https://www.primedinstincts.com)

Not to be THAT guy but there is tons of free online resources for this, especially on YouTube. Zak George being an obvious go-to. If you're just looking for the basics (sit, stay, come, down, dont tug on leash, dont jump on ppl, etc.) you can really probably teach these yourself with 5, 5 minute training sessions a day. And with the added benefit of bonding with your dog (and not sticking them with a trainer)

We signed up for classes thru petsmart to train a Great Dane. I think they were weekly on Saturday mornings for an hour for maybe 6 weeks and cost maybe $150 total. It’s been a few years but the dog can do wait, high and low fives, shake, etc. We don’t really do come. The more conversational works better for our family like: are you ready, let’s go. If dog is feeling stubborn, it’s buh bye, or are you hungry, let’s get a snack. We also don’t really do heel, as with a harness from in front, the dog just walks with us anyways. Just throwing that out there in case it helps, you got to find your own personal style that works for you and yours. Some people kinda bark orders at their dogs, and you don’t really have to do that.

We did a 6 week class at the Humane Society with Mailed for about 150 dollars. It was once a week for 6 weeks in a groy. Might not be the best for now though. It was very good.

I'm not sure about the quality or even if they're happening at the moment but PetSmart does classes.

If you’re on Facebook, join the Georgia English Bulldog Rescue group. I’m pretty sure I’ve seen suggestions for trainers on that page. Plus, it’s a great organization to support! They’re good people.
