Hey Allison, check out private homes on www.airbnb.com. This is a private rental service, and this is how we are staying in Times Square for $200 a night next month. Worth looking into if you will have a rental car! You can search for a room in someone's home or for an entire cabin/apartment/house.

I've always stayed at hampton inn on Centre Place. Ask for UNT discount. Don't know if they will give on a busy weekend. Or holiday Inn express out on I-35 toward 380. I would book asap.

I called Hampton Inn last summer when my son needed a place for one night. I explained he was a UNT student and what the situation was. They let him stay the night. I don't know if I just happened to talk to the right person who took pity on our situation or if they will normally do that for UNT families but it was very helpful for us!
