Ok Ada area friends---I am looking for a better internet service provider. Wild Blue just doesn't have a strong enough signal, cable one and att won't come out this...
Rachel T. replied:
We have WPS outta Ada. They put a dish on your house that connects to different towers they have around the area...sooo, we usually have internet even if it's cloudy or rainy. The ICE caused a bit of a problem but that was expected. It's fast enough for us. We have a wireless router connected to it and if more than 3 devices are on the internet it can get a lil slow...a booster in the house may help with that tho. Hope this helps. They will come out to your house to make sure the can get a "line of sight" or something like that with one of their towers. WPS#: 332.6601
Hey guys, moving to Fredericksburg on Aug 1st and wondering who has the fastest, most reliable internet service. I do a lot of work online from home and can't do shoddy...

I am five miles out and we are out of anyone's service area. We use Verizon MIFi devices at various points to run our business. Like 40 G per month. Works like a charm, but is not cheap (maybe $300). We tried Hughes Net. Really? Don't bother.
Travis M. replied:
Hughes Net is way too expensive . Especially for what you get.

I've had the best luck with Time Warner in town and Bee Creek out of town. Do not get Dish Network. They are horrible and they cut your internet off if you go over the allotted usage which is not as much as the others I've had.
Basic home Internet service recommendations for Berea? Or recommended bundles/packages/specials? Any service providers you would dissuade using? Thanks!

Windstream is terrible. My husband us a retailer got excede. They r super fast, but they aren't a good idea if you are going to be streaming a lot of movies. Pm me if you want more info or go to excede.com
I need a new internet service provider that is not comcast. We're a heavy streaming house with multiple devices. I'm looking for 25mbps down. Suggestions?
Kerry V. replied:
I have uverse wifi - I was really unhappy with the company for the first year but they really do seem to have overhauled their customer service and have been responsive and pleasant to work with during renewals, etc. idk if the new package/service would be of interest to you, but it does sound like a good deal...? http://www.wired.com/2014/09/atts-new-internet-plan-comes-free-amazon-prime/
Travis G. replied:
If Comcast hears you talking like that...woowie...good luck getting two cans and a string. It's not that they are an organized monopoly with no other viable options in most areas that leave customers to "choose" them or cutting edge 1920's technology. Oh, wait, yes they are. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fpbOEoRrHyU
There is nothing that's a part of my world that I hate quite like Comcast.
Looking for an alternative ISP. Building is wired only for Comcast.
Any alternatives?
Ryan M. replied:
Welcome to the oligopoly. Comcast is the best ISP in a city of shitty ISPs. AT&T? Worse. Any other cable companies? Nope. Nobody wants to jump through the hoops to get licensed within the city. Satellite service is a joke, tethering to your phone is not much of a solution. The only thing you can do is complain on twitter to Comcastcares every time they screw something up and hope for an account credit.
Derek S. replied:
I just continue dreaming of the day Google Fiber is widespread
Robert M. replied:
Check out dslextreme.com . It is a good alternative provider.
Can anyone recommend a good internet service provider for the Northern Deer Creek area. We have used Atlink but not happy. Who does the Deer Creek School System use?...
Jonathan B. replied:
I have used US Cell broadband and it was ok, been looking at Excede satellite internet lately though. http://www.exede.com/
I need small business internet service provider on Detroit.
Recommendations?
Please refrain from mentioning the C-word.
Ryan M. replied:
Here's the thing about Comcast: Their core product isn't bad. The Internet service they offer is typically reliable. What sucks is the hardware they issue. If you use the stuff they give you to handle routing duties, you will be disappointed. Also, the routers that most people use suck too. So their router sucks and then they blame Comcast for crappy internet when it's that off-the-shelf D-Link/Netgear/Belkin/Linksys crap they bought. This is my service. I'm paying $99/mo for this at my office. When it's working, it's great. If you want a 99.9% SLA uptime, you're going to pay 3-5 times more. http://www.speedtest.net/my-result/3748341608
I need suggestions for an ISP in Detroit. I have Comcast and I've already tried to talk them down, but they keep raising my bill. Is AT&T the only other option?
