Dr. Al-jabi is a great doctor. He is the second doctor we've had for our children. He is very cautious and takes no chances with our children's health, that's a good thing in my book! My youngest is not even two weeks old yet and our experience with Al-jabi since the day the baby was born has been the best experience. The Dr was so prompt in seeing our newborn right after he was born and each morning thereafter. Since you are having a new baby, and your first baby, I highly recommend him. His wife works in their office and she is very sweet and helpful. Good luck to you!

Even though he's not a pediatrician, he diagnosed me correctly when other pediatricians locally couldn't. Dr. Richard McEwan is AMAZING. He is behind cilantros and by the Social Security office. I have seen him since I was 2, so 23 years now! He has seen me after hours at the drop of a hat, and always listens to my concerns. I hate seeing any other doctors. Highly recommend him. https://www.facebook.com/1590208731199823 Georgia Coast Family Medicine

Dr Goodman is an amazing thorough doctor. I have had several grandkids go to him for years. He is very conscientious and will get to the root of problem. They have always seen my daughters children in an emergency situation. His PA Debbie is amazing and kids love her. When my grandkids were born here in town he was right there to check them out. He is one of the most knowledgeable doctors I know and has lots and lots of experience. In my opinion it is much better to have a local doctor for like you say the small things, ear infections, strep, etc and not have to be running out of town for a runny nose. Our hospital here does a great job, it's not as big as some but adequate.

Dr AlJabi hands down is the best! He was MY pediatrician and now my sons and I couldn't be happier he is still here bc I would never take my child to anyone else! They get you in immediately and out quickly, he is so through! He checks everything and does not stop til he has answers for a diagnosis! He listens to the mothers and is so caring to the babies! His wife is so sweet and caring! They are like family and will always make u feel like u made the right decision as choosing them as your child's dr!

Dr Ayman AlJabi. Over the top care. He tests for the worst first in order to eliminate the worst case scenario and then goes from there. Cutting edge knowledge on the latest medicines, vaccines and healthy child care. He cares about the whole child, their health and overall wellness, not just when your child is sick. I always ask questions and he writes down every answer for me so that I have something to refer to. When he is in the room with your child, he never appears to be in a hurry to rush you out, no matter how packed his waiting room is.

When i lived in Brunswick, I used Dr. Snyder. He is very good and through. He saved my life and my leg in 2008. He does not have a very good bedside manner (not real friendly) but if you give him the full picture he will take good care of you and your family. He did mine.
Virtress T. replied:
I said stay away from Dr. Snyder. All he do is blindly diagnosed children and push dope on them. When you call him on his b.s. he calls the cops and says he fears for his life in prior to making love to your snatch doing a pap smear while playing " WHAT LOLA WANTS" I'm so serious
Melissa G. replied:
I never experienced that with Dr. Snyder and he took care of my whole family and done several of my pelvic exams. He never tried to push meds on my kids either. If I still lived in Brunswick he would still be my dr.

AmyJane A. replied:
Negative about Dr Snyder? I dont see why- he's my Dr, my baby's dr and my daddy's Dr and he's awesome!! Only reason I can think of why someone may not like him is bcuz he's very blunt. He doesn't beat around the bush or sugar coat anything so to some it may seem like he's being rude when he's really not... he'll just get on to your ass if you're not taking care of yourself or not listening to things he's telling you to do but he's honestly the most thorough Dr I've ever had in my life... he comes off as a bit serious or stiff sometimes like kinda stand off-ish, but he definitely also has a goofy playful side as well bcuz I've seen it many times myself firsthand. As for him misdiagnosing kids and chumping them off by pushing dope on them, my family's experience with him just recently was the exact opposite- my son was diagnosed with ADHD in 2013 by his previous pediatrician in NJ and prescribed him Adderall however after a short period of time we decided to take him off the meds bcuz he wasnt having a good reaction from them. Soon after that we moved back down here and Dr Snyder took over as my son's Dr (he was still 7 then and now he's almost 11). Fast forward to just a few months ago when my son's teacher suggested we try the ADHD meds again- we took him to see Dr Snyder and he prescribed him the absolute lowest dose of Adderall then proceeded to tell us that he would only be able to write a script for that type of medication for a one months supply due to him not being a child psychiatrist and that we needed to find one for our son in order for us to keep him on the meds so I dont see how he'd keep anyone's kids on dope... as a matter of fact my son didnt respond well to the meds again so we took him back to Snyder and informed him we didn't want to try a different medication or a different dose, we were just taking him off the meds for good and he agreed. He's very good with our son and has been for years. I know he doesn't tolerate any foolishness though like if your kids act up and show out he'll politely tell you to take them to the health dept... I for one have had vaginal exams by him as well and he was never anything but gentle, courteous, and professional and him and his staff always made me feel comfortable. He's never performed a vaginal exam on me without his assistant in the room with us and his receptionist Ms Lucille is a sweetheart too. Overall good experiences all the way around for my family. Hope this clears up any confusion about him and hope this helps... oh and I wouldn't recommend Dr Johnson on Gloucester- both my nieces go there and she is very friendly however not thorough what so ever... she's in and out like she's rushing you. That's one other thing about Dr Snyder- he takes his time with every one of his patients and goes through everything on their charts even if he has a whole waiting room of people so he doesn't miss a single thing.
Gloria G. replied:
We use Dr. Laura Steelman. She is always so great. She is very patient and makes sure my son is comfortable. Ive used her for four years now and wouldn't think about going anywhere else. She doeant make you feel dumb for not knowing something and always explains things kindly. And she doesn't try to rush you off.

I would not take my worst enemy to see Dr Johnston my son was about 6 months old an had got salmonella and was pooping blood a lot of it and she acted like it was no big deal!!! Never crossed her paith again!!! An hope to never see her!!!!
AmyJane A. replied:
Well I called Dr Snyder on his cell phone and informed him of people slandering him on fb and he just laughed and told me that happens sometimes when he discharges patients who're just after pain pills that he wouldn't give to them or some people who have rude and unruly children who come into his practice and act as though they have absolutely no home training. Just something to think about... true there may be a few who're saying to stay away from him but when there's also others stating their whole family goes to him for years and love him you have to ask yourself WHY are the ones with negative comments so mad? hmmm
Elba S. replied:
My last comment was not about Dr. Snyder; it was a general statement regarding bad reviews left on this thread. Also, we don't have to ask ourselves why people feel the way they do when they say exactly why they're disappointed with the service(s) they receieved. Some have said their whole family left certain practices so there's also that. I'm sure every doctor in Glynn County is aware there will be people who give bad reviews which is not the same thing as slander. Slander is a false statement. For everything written thus far to actually be considered slander, everyone who had something negative to say would have to be lying about their experience(s). Dr. Snyder will still be rolling in the dough despite some word-of-mouth going around to avoid him so it seems this has affected you more than it has him, AmyJane.

We just moved to Brunswick and I'm looking for a pediatrician for my two boys. They are 3 years old and 3 months old.
Does anyone have any recommendations? Can you tell...
Elizabeth D. replied:
We go to Dr. Pavlou. Her office staff is super helpful and professional. She takes time with patients and parents. She's respectful of the fact that your child is YOURS and that you make decisions regarding their care (I.e., we co-sleep). There is also always an on-call doctor for their office so we haven't had to go to an urgent care.
Jessica K. replied:
Dr Pavlou was rude to me when my now 8 yr old was just a tiny baby. Wont go back. I use Dr Bristol now. He is so nice and he is great with kids.

Dr. Neil Goodman. Al-Jabi was very rude to me. Talked down to me like I was the child.

My youngest son has been seeing Dr. Amanda Joseph since birth. We enjoy our visits and she's very thorough. I hope you find a good fit for your family!

Dr. Steven thompson is awesome, been taking my daughter to him for 11 years.
Looking for a good pediatrician in the area. We're traveling to Savannah to Dr. Stoudt, but just found out he is no longer taking my kids insurance.

Elizabeth D. replied:
Dr. Pavlou at Pediatric Associates of Brunswick is our pediatrician. We love her and her staff! They can almost always get us in the same day. I also appreciate that she respects my parenting decisions and preferences (co-sleeping, baby lead weaning, etc.). When I registered my baby with her (before birth), they made sure to tell me that they do require vaccines, though, which I'm on board with. I know some people aren't though so I figured I'd mention it.

Dr Stout moved to Pooler.
Dani S. replied:
Yes, Dr. Stout moved to Pooler and there are very few pediatricians taking new wellcare patients. Most have a waiting list. I believe the Pediatric Community Care Center is always accepting new patients
