I'm not sure about grooming but the Southeastern GSD Rescue uses [Off-leash K9 Training](http://www.raleighncdogtrainers.com/) quite a bit and speaks highly of their services. Congratulations on the new family member!

We've used [Beth's Barks and Bubbles](http://www.bethsbarksnbubbles.com) for our 2 Goldendoodles for the past 2 years. No complaints with them so far. They are in Woodcroft.

Check out Meetup.com- I take my Aussie to the twice monthly Triangle Hiking and Agility meetup in Hillsborough. PM me if you can't find a link. I would recommend Sue McKinney (dogfunforever.com) for training.

In need of an accountant, a dentist, a hair stylist, and a pet groomer.....not all at the same time. Taking suggestions for the greater Durham area
Deborah S. replied:
Dentist: Dr. Hansen at Sunrise Dental by Target behind the mall. Love her! (919) 493-3355. The dental techs (they do the cleanings) are pretty good as well.
Stephanie I. replied:
Dentist: Dr. Jim Eaker. http://tarheelsmiles.com/ Hair stylist: ask Heather Wright Mangum for suggestions...she used to have her own shop, so I'm sure she's got friends she'd recommend.:)

If you're north of downtown Pampered Pooch is a Durham institution that has been around over 25 years run by two twin brothers. They've been catching up on the pandemic backlog so it might be a bit.
bloodnuts replied:
Thanks everyone for the suggestions! We’ll make an appointment shortly! Having the vet do his nails.
stgraff replied:
Agree with recommendation for Pampered Pooch. We've been taking our five past/current dogs there for 15 years.
UsqueAdFinem19 replied:
We’ve also used Pampered Pooch. Great value for great service. We also like Elliotte’s. It’s a little more expensive but our dog is an asshole at the groomer and Elliotte’s told us he was an “angel.” They can be a little tougher to get an appointment though.

Pet wagon is running a special for Thursday for bath and nails, $30 for dog up to 100 lbs. $35 for bigger dogs

To add to this question—does anyone know of a spot that is doing JUST nail trims? My boys’ nails are getting out of hand. We can bathe them, but getting their nails trimmed is rough.

best dog groomer? Where do you take your dog to be groomed? What do you like about them? Anywhere in the triangle area ... but looking for recommendations that aren't...
Tripped1 replied:
I just tried out http://www.petropolitandoggrooming.com/ and was pretty impressed. My dog has never been this nice looking. Trimmed her up, washed and her undercoat was shedding which they brushed/groomed out. Will not do petco or anything like it again.

We take ours to Wake Forest Animal Hospital specifically for grooming. It's not far from North Raleigh, but it may be a bit of a trip if you're in Chapel Hill or Apex or something. She doesn't see the vet there, but their groomers are very good. My dog is a Border collie, so she always has a ton of undercoat and gets some matting behind her ears, in the feathering on her tail, etc. but she got groomed last week and looks (and smells) great still. I've never seen her so clean or fluffy. She loves going, too, but I think that's partly her personality. They have a separate entrance for grooming in the back of the building, which I like, since that way she's not exposed to potentially sick dogs in the normal waiting area.

I've started going to Elliott's pet spa in Durham and like him very much so far.

I take my sheepadoodle to groomingdales. My sheepadoodle has quite the grumpy personaility and is a groomers nightmare but the groomers at groomingdales are patient and compassionate. Her haircut from them is always emcaulate. They give my dog top notch care at right around the same price i was paying those other places(petsmart, petco, ect)who insisted on taking easy out and just shaving my big pooch instead taking the time to brush her out. They are in apex off 55!
Hiya, can anyone recommend a local dog groomer, cant contact the one I usually use & my shih-tzu looks more like a minature sheep...& doesnt smell much better...!!
