Oda Barhuf her name is Uta (253) 576-8035. She has worked wonders for my lame mare. You get so much more than a farrier when she works with your equine.
April R. replied:
Anna Longanecker is the absolute best, natural balance farrier. I know she's pretty busy now so she may or may not be taking on new clients.

What veterinarian would you recommend? I'm trying to get my cat neutered and up-to-date on shots but I'm not really sure where to go to do it.

I recommend The Animal Skin and Allergy Clinic in Shoreline (or is it Bothell?) Anyway, it's a bit north of Seattle. I took our old Basset Hound there and was glad I did. Yes it does cost but maybe family can chip in or they can work something out. There are also good dog shampoos out there -- not something you can find at the grocery store but at a good pet store and of course, good dog food.
Don S. replied:
Call Doc Fuller on Ellensburg Community Radio Monday Morning at 11 am. eburgradio.org for more info.
Oda B. replied:
I make my own or only buy the highest quality canned food possible, every so often...mine never had any skin issues and neither are they overweight. I go straight to the local butcher and buy pork or beef heart, or I buy pork in shoulder when on sale and boil it before feeding because some can have a more sensitive digestive tract for raw food At the very least I would not feed kibbled food and making your own usually comes out at about the same price. It is money well spent, or if you try to save money on food, you will likely spend it at the vet;s office instead...Kymythy is a great resource for canine species appropriate diet http://kymythy.com/
Raoul T. replied:
I would call the School of Vet. Medicine at WSU and ask for their help. I've done it before and they've helped a lot. They make an anti itch vet shampoo. But you need to determine the likely cause first. I would ask them if a 1% hydrocortisone anti itch cream available OTC would help. WSU will know what to do. One of The best Vet Schools in the US.
Looking for a good small animal vet that won't break the bank.

I've been to just about every vet in town (lived here for 45 years) and of all the experiences over time, I have one absolute favorite. Not favorite clinic per say (as I've not had such great experiences with all of them), but I've been to Dr Fuller at Ellensburg Animal Hospital and have been 100% satisfied. I don't always like what the outcome may be but I trust his judgment and not ever left feeling like I should have a second opinion. If you're looking for cost savings only, you should just call till you find the best quote but if you want a top notch vet, he's your guy!!!
You can call any vet and ask what they charge. You will need some shots to protect her as well as a check up. I use Critter Care they are lovely people working there.
