I like Dr. Anita Iyer a lot, but the wait time for an appt. is very long. She is very proactive with regards to skin cancer concerns and she really seems to care about her patients. I have been seeing her for ten years. http://www.hocoderm.com

We see Dr. Pearson on St. John's Lane. Really like him. He is more laid back & not over the top like our previous dermatologist. He takes his time & listens.
Looking for a good LOCAL dermatologist (preferably a woman) and not Feldman/Cohen. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Jodie H. replied:
I left Feldman. I now go to Ellicott City to a female Doctor... Nguyen & Associates.
Kara L. replied:
Brooke Bennett of Family Dermatology. Dr. Dawn is also fantastic and in the same practice.
Sherri L. replied:
Kara Mahoney Lopez, where is Family Dermatology located?
Kara L. replied:
It is located in the professional building next to Kindercare on Liberty Road. Brooke Bennett is amazing and does the cleanest mole removal I've ever seen.
Kara L. replied:
I am not familiar with Dr. Feldman. Dr. Dawn is one of the main doctors there. I almost always see Brooke because she is great about scheduling appointments. Even the office staff is very friendly.
Alissa S. replied:
Dr. Barbara Honig in Reisterstown is great! Her office is right by Ruth's Chris where 695 meets Reisterstown Rd.
Jon F. replied:
Diane Ford in Frederick is great !!
Catherine W. replied:
My girls and I have used Dr. Nguyen for at least 15 years. She is in Ellicott City 410-992-4100
Brianna B. replied:
Dr. Feldman and Esther Cohen are also part of Family Dermatology, the same practice that dr. Dawn and Brooke Bennett are part of. Have been going there for 15 years.
Peggy S. replied:
I'm glad that there are other providers at Feldman's office. He removed a small mole and left a bad scar. Didn't like Esther Cohen's bedside manner at all, and I've seen her twice. Dr. Paul Rusonis in Columbia is good.
Dermatologist? Can anyone recommend a specific Columbia or Howard County Dermatology practice? Just for checking moles.
samuraiRS replied:
I have been to Columbia Dermatology and had Dr. Chew. Visual inspection of moles and eczema. Nothing out of the ordinary so didn't have to go any farther than that. [link](http://www.columbiadermatology.com/about.html)

I got a referral from my GP to the dermatology office at the Medical Pavilion next to HC General. I wasn’t there for moles, but I had no issues and everything went well.

Dr. Beckett is in Columbia but she's absolutely fantastic http://www.hocoderm.com/
Recommendations for Dermatologist. My dermo (who we have seen for 8 years) Dermatology Associates in Columbia has a 6 MONTH wait-really? I could be dead by then! Looking...
Cathy C. replied:
Dr. Jane Chew in Columbia or her PA Jeff.
Melinda L. replied:
Dr Kang Glen Burnie 2 weeks!
Karin H. replied:
Dr. Chew and Jeff are great. Just got hubby an apt with a week notice. No problem.
Maureen H. replied:
Dr. Chew told me she would charge me $85 per skin tag to remove. I decided to remove them myself rather than try and find a good dermatologist. Dr. Canning in Silver Spring is MUCH better and more thorough than any others I have been to. We just moved too far away for me to get to her.
Anyone have a great dermatologist in the area?? Thanks
Carol H. replied:
Dr. Paul Rusonis is the BEST.
Kerstin W. replied:
Dr. Rusonis is great but they always bill like you have a problem and not a yearly check. (Which my insurance would pay 100% but the problem visit gets applied towards deductible)
