I'm looking for a family doctor in the Elora/Fergus area. Can anyone recommend one (that is taking new patients)?

Also just called Health Care Connect and was told none in Fergus or Elora.
Kim F. replied:
I am on list for Health Care Connect. That is the only way they will put you on list and I had to unregister with mine in Kitchener which made me nervous. When I was speaking with them this morning she said as of now there is none and it will be awhile.
Kim F. replied:
I asked there they also told me to call Health Care Connect.
Marie M. replied:
Britttany Brown is in the same group as Dr. Oh and she too is an amazing person.

Andrea D. replied:
I can recommend Dr Jody Lorentz at Quarry Optometry. He's been really good with us and he's great with our kids.
Rebecca L. replied:
Dr. Susan Woodruff (Optometrist) is absolutely lovely! I've been going to her all my life!
Barbara W. replied:
Dr Sheryl Howe- St David Street Dentistry
Margaret J. replied:
Dr. Maura McKeown and Associates (dentist) in Fergus - Dr. McKeown is phenomenal and Dr. Susan Woodruff (optometrist) in Elora is also amazing!
Lucy D. replied:
Doctors are not taking new patients. You get on a list and health care connect gets you a new one .... when one becomes available. You do not get to choose the doctor. Bad part about this is you have to take your present doctor off and wait. Call Health Care Connect.
Heather E. replied:
Centre Wellington Dental in Elora. Dr's and hygienist's are all lovely, caring people!
Jennifer P. replied:
Centre Wellington Dental is excellent!
Jennifer V. replied:
If I could go a step further, I would also recommend the Shift Family Health Team for holistic care. Chiropractor, Naturopath, Holistic Nutrition, Reiki, Massage Therapy and Custom Orthotics.
Does anyone know if there are any family doctors accepting new patients?
Summerlea K. replied:
They first need to get their current doctor to release them, then they can register with Health Care Connect and they will find them a new doctor. In the mean time if something comes up they can always go to the Walk in clinic at Walmart.
Anyone know of a female family doctor accepting new patients in this area...willing to drive as far as Guelph or Orangeville. I moved here in September and am in...
Susan H. replied:
My female Dr. Is in Elora and there is a 3 year waiting list. So,if you hear of someone...even in Guelph...go for it. I know there is no Dr.'s in town taking anyone.
