In my experience, health care connect did not help me at all, even when I was pregnant. My advice is to just call anywhere and everywhere and ask. And be patient.

ER departments used to have a list of doctors that are accepting new patients. Not sure if this is still the case but worth a shot. I'd also try asking your local pharmacist if they know of any new doctors setting up in the area. Try pharmacies in different parts of the city.
