I do work on the side if you need a 2 nd opinion or a good look. Use to be ASE and ran my own shop. Do it on the side to fund my 73 Chevy now. :) I'm in Springfield VA

Convenience Car Care in Manassas, if you don't mind driving a little farther. Good people, husband/wife owned, honest service.

[Joyce Motors](http://m.mainstreethub.com/joycemotors#) in Clarendon. The have a lame website but they're very good mechanics. They're not far from the metro station and they're good about scheduling service so you can drop off the car in the morning and pick it up after work.

Falls Church- Smokey's. Had multiple cars fixed there, of multiple brands. Nice, good people, and they had them all done quicker than they told us it would happen. http://www.smokeysgarage.com/

I've had really good luck with [Va Tire and Auto](http://vatire.com/). They're friendly, quick and no BS. Plus they have 12 NoVa locations, all that have been recently upgraded. Also, they always have coupons (both mail and online) and will accept competitor's coupons.

I have a Saturn Ion. I like it a lot. One tip -- if you have a sunroof and park outside a lot, you're going to need to get the drains cleaned out every year or two.

Tom's Auto Stop in Shrlington. They did work on my 2001 Saturn SC2 and didn't charge me an arm and a leg.

I work in an industrial park in Newington. Every other shop seems to be car related. They all seem good. My next door neighbor is called One-on-One Auto Repair. He is really nice and always seems to have quality work. I see a lot of repeat customers. Across from me is NGP Racing. They do mainly performance tuning for German cars, so I'm not sure they would be what you are looking for, but everyone over there is really nice.
