We have had excellent experiences with specialists at OCR (Ortho Center of the Rockies). I believe they have doctors that make weekly visits to the CSU Health Center as well as their location on Prospect Rd. Dr. Hartman has done 2 knee surgeries for us and have seen 2 of their other doctors for track and football related sports injuries. https://www.orthohealth.com

Definitely contact his advisor and professors asap, especially with exam week looming. But also contact RDS on campus - as they can offer some assistance even if it is only a temporary issue. http://www.rds.colostate.edu/

I know there is a sports medicine/orthopedic clinic at the Health Center -- maybe start there? I'm sure they can refer her out to someone in your insurance network if needed. Here is a list of their services from the website: The Sports Medicine and Orthopedic Clinics are located in the Physical Therapy Services of the CSU Health Network and staffed by consulting physicians from the community. Consultations are available about three half days per week by referral from a Health network provider. Services include: Splinting and casting Management of orthopedic and sport’s related injuries Steroid injections Evaluation and treatment of hand/wrist injuries and pain Surgical consultations
