Pediatric associates of northern colorado ..... I moved here 6 years ago and have been very impressed. When I call after hours (and they are open until 8 on a few weekdays) the on call doc always calls me back with in minutes ... they caught a very s erious condition in my 5 week old that most docs would not have caught! and they caught it with in hours. They are awesome! 970-484-4871 and they always get you in that day when your child is sick
Ashley L. replied:
Dr. Bruce and Dr. Marler have always been awesome with my son
Mona B. replied:
Loveland Peds are excellent Dr. Bruce is great and we have seen a few different ones there and have always been very pleased.
Jenny M. replied:
Dr Bruce and those at Loveland peds are awesome! However, they are employed by banner who owns MCKEE soooo...if you see them and require something more serious than an office visit you will end up back at McKee!
Dru D. replied:
Dr. Markley on Harmony in Fort Brady Collins (Pediatric Associates)
Krista T. replied:
I just switched our pediatrician to the youth clinic (the one located at the south medical building at mcr in Loveland). I've been nothing but happy with them. I would try a different doctor before you write off the clinic altogether... Dr. Hani fan was good to us when my daughter had croup... and I love their after hours help line.
Christy H. replied:
Pediatric Associates - I love all the practitioners there but am very partial to Dr Markley.
Marion G. replied:
Been with Loveland youth clinic for 15 years and they've been great. We usually see Balenski, but Dr. Quintana is the resident doctor.
Miranda G. replied:
We saw Dr. Quintana. Won't be going back. Going to interview the other recommended doctors and clinics mentioned above. Thank you so much!!:)

Dr Sampera at the youth clinic is awesome!! My baby had croup two weeks ago and they gave him a one time steroid pill. I put it in his food and he was breathing better the first day. Back to normal in about 2 day. Good luck!!

If you think she has the croup go to McKee Medical Center

Lainey T. replied:
Humm was it Fort Collins Youth Clinic? They are usually really good! Dr Sampera, Dr Anderson, Lindsay Vonnernuth all work there very good!
Gina W. replied:
Depends on the insurance you have. Youth clinic is good, so is Fort Collins Assoc in Family Medicine urgent care (open until 9 pm I think). But have you dealt with croup before? If not, in the bathroom with a steamy shower running, or taking them outsid e in the cold for 10-20 min will help immensely. If that doesn't make it easier to breathe, the ER is where I'd be. Unless you have a nebulizer - it's the next step. Been there done that many times - croup is no fun.
Felicia B. replied:
If you are on regular insurance not medicade I would recommend you yo Windsor Family clinic with dr mason he is amazing for example with my daughter he gave me his personal cell for questions because I was a 1 st time mom he was there from start to fin ish of delivery and he had me stay 3 days in the hospital and for those 3 days he came in every morning to check on my daughter and I. And hes gets back to you quick if you get the wit voicemail.
Rebecca L. replied:
Loveland Pediatrics is where we take my granddaughter. Dr. Is super good
Dana B. replied:
For future reference, there is now a Pediatric URGENT care in Fort Collins. This is their FB page. Welcome to Colorado! https://m.facebook.com/profile.php?id=690868737661537
Gina W. replied:
Dana - do you happen to know if they accept Medicaid? The Youth Clinic doesn't, sadly, and I see they are affiliated with them.
Gina W. replied:
A/c won't help! You need moisture and lots of it, that's why sitting in a bathroom with the shower running on hot, or going outside (the cold air has moisture in it and breathing it in helps loosen up stuff and open airways). I know it's scary - the first couple times my babies got it I was a wreck. And yes, the Fort Collins Youth Clinic is a totally different clinic than the Loveland one.

Looking for a Fort Collins pediatrician Hi all! Beautiful weather we're having :)
We're expecting a baby this August and I'm starting to look for a pediatrician.
Do...
FeastingFortCollins replied:
I'd recommend avoiding The Youth Clinic. They're good for regular checkup visits, and getting kids in quickly for typical issues like ear infections, etc. However, they aren't competent with abnormal issue diagnostics, and their answers for those situations is to pump the kids full of meds rather than find the root cause of the issue. We spent thousands upon thousands at their office for non-answers before we were given a referral to National Jewish and Children's Hospital. They ignored many of my requests for further investigation saying that my son would "outgrow it" - what ended up being an autoimmune disorder. Not only that, the ~~owner~~ director of the practice, Larry, is unethical in his business dealings in town.

Associates in Family Medicine. Dr McCarthy. There's no other right answer.
Recommendations for pediatrician in Ft Collins? We obviously haven't needed one for quite some time, but 'a friend of a friend' is moving here soon and would like some...
Tracy J. replied:
We love Kristen Sampera at the Youth Clinic! Emily still goes to her bc she really likes her and doesn't want to switch.
Sarah R. replied:
Dr. Markley at Ped Associates or P.A. Kim Ottelignii there is well (didn't spell her name correct)
Ruthie P. replied:
Taryn Morrow here ya go!
Kelly L. replied:
We also see Dr. Markely. The staff there is wonderful! (we were actually there today)
Theresa H. replied:
Lorrie Kehmeier is who the girls go/went to. They like her. She is at the fort collins youth clinic.
Susan S. replied:
We've gone to the Youth Clinic for years and have been happy with it, though our providers have changed a lot since my kids were little. Kim Ottolenghi is a friend of mine if you go to Dr. Markley's practice.
Bettina S. replied:
We always used Rocky Mountain Family Physicians! Katha rocks it over there! She saw the kids through a lot:)
Heidi B. replied:
Katha is great, but Pediatric Associates of Northern Colorado (Dr. Markley) are beyond the best!
Jamie H. replied:
We love the youth clinic, Dr. Lorrie is great but we really like Dr Shawna Scangna she has been Coopers doctor since the day we brought him home and our kids love her:)
