I don't know how serious your health issues are but if they are VERY serious, you might be better off at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville. My sister (by marriage) has serious cancer and Mayo has been the best thing for her so far even though she is closer to Gainesville. Just a thought.

Jenell Garvey They are great over there but it is too far from where we will be in St. Augustine if I have an emergency. My issues are stroke, blood clots and related issues and bleeding!

Mayo Clinic also has the Mayo Primary Care facility here in St Aug, so things that can be done locally will be, and things that need referral to the main hospital in Jax can be referred, with you staying in the same "system."

Dr. Martin Solomon at Baylor Grapevine! I have been going to him for 10 years. Very laid back but gets the job done! He has two daughters himself! I love him! I went to the ER several years ago with a horrible headache, the doc in the ER was being a jerk and wasn't going to give me any meds and told me I was being a baby. The minute I told him Dr. Solomon was my doctor his face literally got white and he went out of the room and came right back with meds and an IV for hydration. When I asked the nurse what changed with the doc all of the sudden, she said Dr. Solomon takes care of his patients and doesn't like to hear that they aren't being taken care of in the ER.
