Looking for a local neurologist that is great working with Alzheimer's patients. Anyone have any experience with one in or near Flower Mound?
Jennifer G. replied:
I don't have the name of a good one. But I'd stay far away from Dr. David Cooke. I've seen him twice for 2 different issues. He's clueless. Even my PCP indicated she didn't think much of him. Good luck.
Diane M. replied:
Dr. Salmon is so good. https://www.facebook.com/pages/North-Texas-Neuroscience-Center/188710517825772?fref=ts

Jennifer K. replied:
Wow!!! I see Dr Cooke for migraines. He is great...,, very thorough,,, in June he was gone for his daughters wedding and I had huge issue with a recurring headache. Called me on his personal cell and talked me through options
Jennifer G. replied:
I was in the ER twice in June. Dr. Cooke misdiagnosed me. Put me on the wrong meds. My condition significantly worsened. He went on vacation and didn't seen to care. At that point I went to Dr. Salmon who, based on my symptoms, worked me in within a week even though I was a new patient. He ran all the tests Dr. Cooke refused to do. I'm now making progress.

Hi Kerri, I feel your pain. I've had migraines for most of my life and after trying all sorts of medications, balms & diets I have found a herbal balm that helps me like nothing else ever did. I am attaching the link from amazon for you. Now when I get an attack, I apply the balm and sleep. It's not magic. It does take a little time but it's the best thing I have found after suffering for 30+ years. Like you said, medications have side effects and I was not liking what it does to me. Anyways, I hope you feel better!https://www.amazon.com/Patanjali-PATANJALI-Balm-25-G/dp/B006UD44SK/ref=sr_1_2_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1517021013&sr=8-2&keywords=patanjali+balm
Sherrie D. replied:
I don’t have personal experience with this, but you need a medical doctor who is trained & certified in functional medicine including hormones. I found Dr. Tricia Morris in some links from a book I was reading. I also agree with Darlene that you should look into Magnesium supplements. Magnesium Theronate was a recommendation, especially helpful for sleep. I take magnesium glyconate like in Doctors Best...it works all day. https://www.healthgrades.com/physician/dr-tricia-morris-gh3 vb
Jesi M. replied:
I've had them my whole life 3 to 4 times a week. Meds never worked. I felt hopeless until I started seeing a chiropractor. You should check out Dr. B https://www.facebook.com/937602782929438 Shine Chiropractic. I promise you won't be disappointed.

In need of a good back doctor (chiropractor and/or neurologist). Just threw my back out....again....
Is there someone that falls within that category in Flower Mound...
Susan C. replied:
Oh no! I have had 3 issues over the past couple of years, first one was so bad I went to CareNow and then the ER and neither was able to help me. I went to Dr. Y at Town Center Chiropractic (near the Kroger at 1171/2499). He has gotten me through all of them. He doesn't like narcotics and got me off them quickly for that first one. I do highly recommend him. http://www.towncenterchiropractor.com/ I hope you get help and feeling better soon!

Looking for a great neurologist in flower mound? Any recommendation?
Shannon E. replied:
Depends on the issue specifically. My neurologist is Dr. Joseph Casaly and his practice is The Headache Clinic of North Texas. He's across the street from Lewisville Hospital. The short drive from here to Lewisville is well worth it, should you be seeking help with migraines. The office is quiet, small and filled with compassion. 972-221-8583
Any recommendations for Special Needs resources... such as Physical Therapy, Pediatric Neurologist, Camps, Tutors, Psychologist, etc
